Description

Build i completed in September 2020, its been a year and a half now and it has given me absolutely 0 issues. Everything works well and it can handle any game i throw at it, as it should from the amount of money i've thrown at it.

Part Reviews

CPU

A CPU for everything, works well no matter what I throw at it, whether it be browsing or playing games from CSGO all the way to Metro Exodus, this thing works like a beast.

The only real issue is that the included CPU cooler is really ******, however I've found that if you undervolt your CPU to 1.1V and use and open case build the temps are much more manageable sitting around 40 - 50C idle and ~65C under normal game load. But if you're playing a super heavy load game like Metro Exodus the temps will jump around to ~85C and average around 72 - 76C, at least in my experience. These temps are with an open case build in a temperature environment ranging around 22 - 27C, also using Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Paste.

CPU Cooler

Keeps my Ryzen 3600 in a much more stable temp rate, a decent upgrade from their included cooler, idling around 40C and usually only maxing at around 65C (full load) at 3.6 GHz 1.1V. Have not tried OCing yet but I see no use with an OC like that.

Thermal Compound

Works well, have not compared my temps with standard thermal paste, but i didnt have any issues with it at all.

Motherboard

A really good ******* deal, if your thinking about get a Ryzen 3000 Series this bad boy will handle any one of them, all the way from the 3600 to the 3950x, check out Actually Hardcore Overclocking for his full in-depth look on this motherboard and its compatibility with the 3000 Series, he really helped me out here when i was at a loss on what MB to buy. Make sure you flash the MB before you install the CPU, its not a overly complex process, and there are tutorials on Youtube as well as guidelines by MSI themselves. The RGB is ****** but who the **** uses that **** anyway? If your budgeting on this MB you really should not be worrying about spending a premium on RGB lighting.

Memory

Works well, gets the job done, kinda bummed tho because RAM has become much much cheaper as of late and i couldve gotten much better deals, but no issue at all whatsoever

Storage

******* fast as ****, faster than my Ryzen 3600, couldnt keep up with the speeds even running under 100% load.

Storage

Awesome SSD to hold all your games and other ****, fast, reliable, and no wires at all,

Video Card

Love this ******* thing, a beast of a GPU, dont ever have to worry about temps on this thing at all, also looks ******* gorgeous , even after a 18 months of use it looks brand new. probably the best buy out of my entire build.

Case

Really nice case, super nice aesthetics and a very clean look as well.

Power Supply

Reliable, moddable, everything you want, dont have to worry about upgrading your PSU when upgrading your build as well, since its 850W

Monitor

When i built my PC, i completely forgot to include the price of my monitor... So i had to go with this, whatever. It gets the job done, I cant wait to upgrade tho.

Keyboard

Shittiest ******* keyboard i ever used in my life, Go for a TKL, pls. the stabs are so ******* bad, the rattle on the spacebar is the only thing you hear when you press on it, the switches scratch against their housing when you press slowly. DO NOT GET

Keyboard

Only had for a week, but its awesome, the RGB lighting and customization are super good, and the switches come pre lubed as well. with some HyperX pudding keycaps this things is a ******* paperweight.

Mouse

Good mouse, but the wire is a bit long for me and it easily gets caught on stuff, maybe its my cable management but i recently upgraded to the wireless version (G305) and its so much better. still the ergo on this thing is unmatched IMO

Mouse

super nice weight, design, and ergo. On top of the fact that its wireless. Best wireless mouse deal on the market rn, guaranteed

Headphones

Awesome headset, good quality and comfort, it was a bit tight for me at first when i put it on, but i got used to it quickly and its unnoticable now, does not get hot on my ears, and a snug fit over long nape-height hair and glasses.

Completely agree about the Tecware Phantom (for anyone reading this, it's a great value for $50). I dropped $130 on a Ducky One 2, and as much as I like it, I like Phantom just as much for $80 less. The Ducky is at home, the Phantom is for the office. It's pretty fun when the lights are on, but when the lights go off it fits well in an office setting. The Outemu Browns are quiet and feel good. I use the lights in the office anyway. Lol

(I like the rest of your build as well, between the 3600 undervolted to 1.1, Scythe, Vengeance, and a Corsair PSU we have very similar taste. Just refreshing to see someone else likes the Phantom and thought it in particular deserves a shoutout)

i have alot of questions and feedback. number 1: CABLE MANAGE. its so cluttered and messy number 2: your monitor is taking so much space and is dirty. you should buy a monitor stand. 3: litterally back your pc glass panel. 4: clean up a bit
