i'm 14 and spent my summer 3 years ago saving for a gaming pc to upgrade my laptop. It took a year or so to save for it but finally i got my 1050, ryzen 3, 1300x and b350 mobo. Great to hear stories like mine because i fell in love with building computers, networking, and even 3d printing.

Also don't hide the cables one once said "you shouldn't hide cables but instead you should make the cables part of the build" you could custom sleeve them, cut it down to the perfect size, then use some sort of way to keep them still (like maybe zip ties or something) that could actually look amazing!

To my surprise they seem fine and I think the reason is is that the places that actually get hot are already covered with heat sinks (VRMs, and chipset) the rest stays cool just with normal air dispersion. I would not advise painting smaller boards as wouldn't trust the airflow/heat dispersion.
