Thank you, the case is made it easy to look good.
Thank you very much, although the beer is my wife's.
Thank you, they make an A40 which is just like this only a little larger to accommodate a sfx psu. The PSU cover was a $4 option. Although it was horrible trying to cut out all those holes from the vinyl.
I love these cases, I did a build in one. Your build looks awesome!
Thank you, I really appreciate it.
Actually, I have 5 saltwater tanks. And those things claim a much larger chunk out of my wallet than PC building :( Oh, and thanks for the compliment on the build, I think :)
Thank you so very much!
Thank you. The other fan seemed a little out of place in this build, especially the white sleeved cable. I would have kept the see through panels if I had gone with the black case. Wasn't really feeling it with the white case. All the hardware kinda got lost in it.
GeeekA30 finally finished it
Go for it! and thanks for the kind words
Thanks, I really appreciate it.
I don't know about dedication, it was more about determination. I refused to let this thing get the best of me. I don't think that I would want to do it again. You should have seen the look on my face when I was trying to get that bend in the 24 pin while plugging it in and the cable comb that took me 30 minutes to get on blew apart!
Thanks. Not really a lot of room for a mechanical drive. Although according to the directions, if you go with a shorter GPU, one should fit behind the front panel.
Thanks. All the pics of it powered up and with lights are with the sides panels on.
Thank you. I have stress tested them and I was quite surprised at how good the temps were. The ventilation slots in the side panels are very large with no airflow restriction. Temps were the same with or without side panels.
Thank you so very much. Just google Geeek store.
Thank you kindly
Thanks, yeah, these little things are kinda cool.
I look forward to what you will be able to accomplish.
Ah, the pitfalls of those who build in small cases without active air flow. Actually, I don't think these temps are that bad for air cooling. My temps before modding the case were 10 to 15 degrees higher without any overclock!
Thank you, that would be my new Geeek a-30 build. It is an all acrylic build yourself case. Its modified some and I should be done with it in a couple of days.
Thank you, I know that SFF are not for everyone. They are definitely not cheaper to build, but they are fun. The fact that you find it interesting makes me grateful. As for the fan controller, it is a modified GELID speed touch 6.
Yeah, they don't make these anymore. There are a lot of good cube cases out there, especially some with great airflow. I just don't like having the PSU sitting over the motherboard and most cube cases are configured this way. If I had to replace my case and wanted a similar layout, I would be looking at the Fractal Design core 500.
Now I feel like a cheapskate
Yeah, this whole 100 percent ram clearance thing may have some exceptions to it. Although I did have to tweak the cooler some so i could be entirely on me. But to be honest, the original H5 universal cooler made contact also. Could just be the size of the dominator heat spreaders.
Thank you so very much. Now that my desk is getting so much attention, I need to work on it's cable management.
Thank you, I agree. I build mostly mini itx pc's. I don't think I would know what to do with a full atx system.
thank you, my favorite by far
Don't forget the magic pixie dust!
I like it a lot, the H5 I had before was good but needed to be in a good airflow case. This R1 though, it makes its own airflow.
This thing looks amazingly sharp! I love this build.
Thank you kindly sir.
Thank you, I have built few systems over the years and my first couple were definitely function over aesthetics. Now I build for the fun of it. not in any hurry, some of my builds may take months like my scratch htpc build. The great thing about PC's is that you can always upgrade, change or modify as time and finance allow. That is what happened with this build. Your posted build has a great foundation! It is an awesome case. I did a budget build in a white version of that case and did some very easy to do at home aesthetic touches to give it a clean look. Its one of my posted builds if you wanna check it out. Just gotta take your time, and if it looks good to you, that's all that matters. once again, thank you.
I gotta give it up for the UFO cooler!
Thank you very much. That case is something I am working on now. It is a Geeek A30 case. All acrylic. Its a little different to work in. Should be done modding it by next week and will post it.
I had to look at the feature page to see what you were talking about. This is unexpected. I am extremely grateful. Thank you so very much!
They are kind of fun to build.
Thank you, i appreciate it.
Thanks, carbon fiber laminate is pretty easy to work with. It machines well and can actually be cut with a good pair of scissors. Just not very rigid. They also have some really cool colors and patterns.
Its based off a whalen desk. I needed something more bigger. Could not find what I was looking for. Originally, I had it as 2 separate desks. I later added the corner piece once I got a tube roller.
Thanks, I definitely had some doubts about everything fitting, but it all worked out. Dremel tool helped out some too.
Thank you, I am kinda of fond of it too.
I made it a few years ago. First time experimenting with bent lamination. It is a copy of some desk I saw on the internet only I made it bigger for my needs.
Thats a great small build. I have been wondering about the temp on that 8700. I am about ready to put one in a silverstone ftz 01 case and have been concerned about cooling it. 80C with a c7 is not to bad, considering. I have found that on zotac mini cards, replacing the thermal compound with something better has yielded much better temps. I have always been impressed by those who take on the challenge of building in these tiny cases! +1
Thanks, your build should be awesome. This case is amazing.
SFX power supply will give you extra clearance. You can pretty much get a full size card in there with it.
This thing is crazy!!! Amazing build. I love it.
