Part of my hesitation of going with AMD is that I built a system last year for my brother and I had issues with the MBs not having the most updated BIOS for the CPU (Used a Ryzen 3 2200). It turned out to be quite a hassle. But if thats not the case any longer, it is something to think about for sure. Thanks!

I could explore going the AMD route. I was not sure how the Ryzen have stacked up vs the intel cpu's these days. Storage is:

The SSD is about 1 year old. They are both running well.

Sorry, did not mean to hijack the thread with my issue. But, the Athlon CPU definitely did not work for me. Tried 2 different MBs, flashed the latest BIOS and it would not POST. Had to settle for a Ryzen 3 2200G.

Still good build for the price. Thanks!

Yes, I may have gotten a dead MB.

Also, the RAM I got is not listed as supported on their website, but it did not come up as having compatibility issues here.

Should I try a different one just in case?

Has anyone tried building this one? I got all the parts and put it together and nothing. I read some reviews on a sellers website and some people were saying that this MB does not work with AMD Athlon 200GE. I tried clearing the CMOS but still nothing.

I discovered that speedFan does not pick up the AMD Ryzen 5 chip. So I installed AMD's Ryzen Master. Will do some testing with and w/o the front panel to see what the max temps are.

Thanks for the suggestions/concerns about the airflow. I downloaded speedFan and will be monitoring the temperature to make sure we are not frying the thing. If it becomes an issue, I will look into either replacing the case or the CPU cooler.

Thanks. It booted up at 2400. I had to go into BIOS and change the settings. It is running at 2933 which is max.
