Nice build man. Those fans on top should both be exhaust by the way for optimal airflow, but otherwise its a clean build.

I already ordered a Founder's Edition. :( I didn't even know EVGA offered a program like that that's so cool. I may return this one closer to 30 days since even if I wanted an EVGA 1070 I'd be paying upwards of $500 with the current mining fiasco.

Hell yeah dude I'll let you know when I buy in! It may be a few weeks since I'm currently getting all the parts together for this new build.

I also have a 3V GT 2008, but it's metallic ruby. Yeah I'll def use your code! I'm currently rebuilding my new PC with a GTX 1070 so I'm hoping it's more stable using a single gpu versus crossfire.

Hey someone else with a Mustang! Ya know I never thought about making my PC match my GT. Great build man! That metallic blue turned out great and nothing like a portable, yet powerful rig. I only ever tried Star Citizen during the Free Fly sometime last year and that was on an R9 295X2. It wasn't that well optimized then (lots of memory leaks, framedrops and server instability) so I may actually buy into it and see how much has changed.

Nice build! I play a lot of Siege and one of the main reason's I upgraded GPU and overclocked my CPU was framedrops on Favela lol. That map just has something going on there.

The only thing I'd recommend is to flip the fans around so the radiator works as an intake and the two rear ones exhaust hot air out since hot air always likes to rise out of a case, thus improving the cases air flow. Really nice build though I really like the color scheme

It does come down to the user. I was just looking at forums and reviews, but I do agree that the new boards do offer many features I'm interested in. The main one being the dual M.2 slots. It is pretty dang cool that it is now possible to not even need an ssd or hdd anywhere in the case!

Upgrading from skylake to kabylake is not worth it unless you want that extra .3-.4ghz in overclock. Nice build though this color scheme always reminds me of winter, but not in a bad way! It's like a frosty winter build!

The outside of that anti static bag is actually not safe to test on because the bag requires the closed environment of the inside to be anti static.

Anyway.

Well you just get high temps and or instability depending on what voltage you use. Also, damage is possible.

Typically, it seems 1.35V is the average for 4.6Ghz, but it all comes down to how good of a CPU you got. Start low and increase slowly is the rule.

The lower 1070 doesn't have one of the 8-pin cables connected. Did you just forget to connect that for the pictures? Otherwise, great build this thing will destroy anything at 4K.

Nice build! I recommend you don't use the automatic OC and instead manually OC your CPU because those auto OC's tend to use pretty high voltage for frequencies that usually do not need it. A program like CPU-Z will show you what voltage you're at if you notice temps a little high.

Nice job on the build man! You shouldn't worry about Ram speed because it really does not matter that much as long as you get a quality name brand. The 970 is still a powerful card and going SLI with it will put you on par in performance to the 1070. You can SLI any of the 970's, but I think it's recommended to SLI the same brand just to avoid any possible issues. EVGA has the ACX, SC, SSC, FTW, Hybrid, Classified and Kingpin, but using any of these together should definitely be ok.

It shouldn't if you properly overclock without getting the voltage too high. I'd recommend you look into it since your cooler should be able to give you a decent overclock on the CPU. GPU is really easy to overclock also if you don't mess with the voltage.

Make sure you look into the EVGA overheating issue, but otherwise nice build. I would recommend upgrading to the 6600k just because you already have the motherboard to overclock it and the price difference is quite minimal at the moment with the current sales going on.
