Yes, it fits on the side as well.

The EK-MLC CPU Module is a Supremacy MX, but it has a hideous plastic top beneath the (also hideous) shroud. I wound up just using the fittings/tubing on a EVO block I had lying around instead. It's just 4 small screws on the underside of the block that need to be removed for the shroud to come off. Here are photos of it when I disassembled it. As you can see, what's beneath the shroud is hardly something you'd want visible, lol. ;)

I'm actually preparing to maybe to a bit more tweaking, as I'll be installing a 9900k and 2080Ti hopefully this weekend. I'm thinking of relocating the QDCs possibly closer to the Radiators, and shortening the tubing a bit for a more custom fit.

Thanks! Basically, I decide which type of fitting to use based on how the hose bends. I try to keep the flex of the hose as smooth as possible. :)

No, it will fit in the side mount -- but it would interfere with my lightbox. ;)

Thanks!

Thanks! And, yea, When ASUS first launched the Z270 Apex, I wanted to jump on it -- but my case at the time wouldn't easily accommodate the EATX form factor. Once I swapped cases, I couldn't wait to get the Z370 Apex. I never run quad-dimm setups, and I hated having those extra "empty" 2 slots.

And, surprisingly, the "optimization" that the Apex offers (which I initially wrote off to marketing jargon) actually paid off. I actually had a Maximus X Code for a couple weeks in this setup, running the same clocks. Once I replaced it with the Apex, I was actually able to get the same clocks @ a slightly lower voltage. Of course this is all anecdotal, but it was a welcome perk. :)

Oh, I could go on about that.. but, I'm not sure PCPP would appreciate it. So, let's just say I had a few interactions with Corsair Support that left me feeling as if they didn't really care about their customers anymore. I had been a loyal Corsair customer since 2009, having spent quite the tidy sum, and I find it hard to reconcile with who they've become in 2018. So, I spoke out in the only way I know how.. with my wallet.

Intel's Performance Tuning Plan does NOT cover "de-lidding related fatalities" (e.g. physical damage). It only covers "an eligible processor that fails while running outside of Intel’s specifications" (e.g. over-voltage).

As for Silicon Lottery, yes, if the chip is damaged during the de-lidding process then they will replace it. I can't recommend them highly enough, I've had all of my chips binned / de-lidded by them.

The Katana is connected to my PC via USB and my MacBook via TOSLINK/optical. For audio, yes, it's plug and play. In order to manage the profiles/RGB, you need the Sound Blaster Connect application (which, as far as third-party software goes, isn't that bad).

You can configure the profiles, load them to the Katana, then disable the Sound Blaster Connect app (that's what I do).

You think so? I've always been a fan of the 'cube' look, more of a less-traditional PC case. Plus, the fact that all of the "ugly stuff" (e.g. PSU, cabling, etc) can be hidden in the back was a huge plus for me.

It's a RGB lightbox, custom made for the Air 540 by ColdZero. The top is usually translucent acrylic, which has a white appearance when off. Mine looks a bit different, since I commissioned a custom top with ROG logo.

Depends what you're looking for and what your requirements are. If you're looking at it from a purely performance aspect -- then probably not. You can just as easily get an AIO or high-end air cooler and accomplish that. But if you're aiming for low-noise, or for a purely aesthetic appeal -- then most definitely. :)

The company who makes it, Coldzero, is based out of Portugal, but they ship to the US.

It seems that way, right? LOL. The 3 most deciding factors for me when picking components were: manufacturer, performance (where applicable), and aesthetic. :P

Well, at the moment I'm only really playing Overwatch, so Gsync doesn't really help since I can maintain high enough framerates. However, when I get crazy and max out something more demanding running 1440@144, then yea, Gsync steps up and makes a big difference.

Well, for the lightbox itself -- nothing special is needed. It's all handled through their store, so just add it to your cart and checkout.

If you want a custom top cover made for it, then yes, you would need to use the Contact Us form and let Ricardo know what you're looking for. If it's something he can do, he will put together a mock up for you, and once you approve it, it will be placed on the store under Custom Orders for you to order. That's it.

Oh, and don't worry. Ricardo types/reads English just fine -- I never ran into any language barriers. He's a great guy.

I'm in the U.S., too. They ship internationally, and believe it or not the cost is quite reasonable. Much less than I thought it would be.

It's the Loctek D5DH, and I have it clamped onto my desk. I can't say enough great things about the mount, it's rock solid, and it stays exactly where you set it -- absolutely no drifting.

If you're not looking for RGB/LED, they do make custom midplates, too. I'm sure if you requested a white one, they would have no problem accommodating.
