Very well done. Like what you did with securing the cables, nice extra effort to keep the case tidy. Are those custom length cables from the PSU?

From pics 6 and 34, it looks like you had to increase the GPU cutout a bit at the top, mostly to fit the power cables, correct? How did you go about doing that? Am considering a similar case+GPU setup.

Smart update packing a Xeon CPU in there, quite a strong little box.

What's the ASUS GPU you had in there that looks like it barely fit? I am evaluating the possibility of using this case with a sizable GPU.

Did you ever get a good picture of the modding you had to do? Am considering using the case with a 1070 Ti that is shorter and slimmer than the MSI 1080 Ti Gaming, wondering just how close a fit it was that required mods.

Interesting how you managed to fir that GPU in there. I looked up the dimensions for that model: (L) 290mm x (H) 140mm x (T) 52mm. I have a similar GPU model (1070 Ti Titanium) that is (L) 279mm x (H) 140mm x (T) 42mm.

Do you think a card slimmer and shorter than the one you used would fit the case without needing to mod the side panel or cut that corner support?

I see you added a front fan and replaced the rear one. Do they make any noticeable difference? I'm seeing mixed opinions about adding a front fan.

I like the look of the N1 and Dan A4, but both are expensive in Canadian dollars. The Geeek A50 is a possible alternative, though I am leaning somewhat towards the Cougar QBX as a good middle ground. I already have the GPU and don't care for the hassle in replacing it if I don't have to, even though a smaller GPU would improve SFF case options.

Nicely done build. I am super interested in doing a new main PC setup in the black version. You published this build some years ago, are you still using it, and if so how is the performance? Temps, noise, speed etc.

A big challenge I have with this case is the GPU size limitation, few modern GPUs fit that space available. Wanting to use a 1070Ti and there are not many options that will fit the space, or indeed in SFF cases in general. I do like this one for the unique design and small footprint.

I am in planning for a NAS/home server, and liking this case for how compact it is.

I find it surprising that there is a grille at the bottom ostensibly for a fan, yet you had to drill some holes to mount said fan.

Also, clever way to add an SSD at the bottom of the drive rack. Was wondering how one could fit an SSD on top of five HDDs and a bottom fan. Now I know! How hard was that mod to do?

Adding more than two 3.5" drives will require reconfiguring the intake fans. Running 2 120mm intakes requires removing the flex cage.

Why is this the case? (no pun there...) What setup would allow using the full stack of cages?

There are a few cases I would like to build in at some point just for the experience of doing so. The Enthoo Evolv is one of them. Unfortunately I don't have cause to build another system since mine is still going strong :) But you did well with yours!

Going through your photos, I'm impressed at your build. You obviously put time and effort into getting things just right.

I'm especially taken by your cable management. I recently did a build with the same case and thought I did all right with wrangling the cables, but your setup stands apart :) Now I want to re-do mine!

When I was suggested to use a Xeon instead of an i5, after reading some it just made sense to do so. This computer flies.

The GPU is a bit older but works for my one monitor now. It will likely be the first upgrade/replacement :) to accommodate more or a bigger screen.

Also thanks to you I learned that cable combs are a thing. Need to get those cables tidied up!

Looks like can be ordered from NZXT directly now. May take retail a while to catch up. https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/163-hue-plus-case-accessory.html

Nice looking setup. The S340 is a nice mid-size case, speaking from experience. What are the lights you used, can you provide a link?

FWIW I purchased a Phanteks PH-F140XP (Black) to occupy the lower intake fan spot. So far the included fans seem to be fine for exhaust purposes.
