did you try out PCThemes or VideoPro to do up the PC?
Fuwell as well
You should go to Sim Lim Square to seek advice on the build
PC Parts in the US cost way less cheaper than what we pay in Singapore
Ryzen 5 2600
did the case came with the dank Snow white sticker?
it looks like Snow White is gonna commit a robbery
the PC is very old and the RAM it uses is DDR2
Socket is the AM2 generation socket which is 14 years old now since the release of May 2006.
you can jolly well junk that PC into the trash
use JaysTwoCents or any other Tech youtubers OC guide to do the Overclocking
rule of thumb
OC using the BIOS
never use the Ryzen Master software
i have bad experience with Asrock
never gonna touch their mobo even when the Taichi gets good review from ScienceStudios
also please change out that PSU
it is a fire hazard
you mentioned you only be building the PC in the 4th quarter of 2020
i can tell you a lot will change in these months
new GPU will come out, AMD is releasing the 4000 series CPU
B550 boards are finally coming. Etc
not to mentioned the rumored RTX 3000 series are coming
so the part list will get outdated pretty fast
Monitor technology and VR arent moving fast so your spanking new 4K monitor or the HTC Vive will not go out of fashion.
i say wait and see what AMD and nVidia will release in the next few months before deciding on the PC build
the build is ok
the 3600 isnt a hot CPU so the AIO is overkill for it
and good air cooler will be plenty and there are air coolers which are better than AIO and more reliable
recently one guy AIO cooler failed just one year of use.
Air cooler the fan only fails and you can just easily replace it.
those are VCore values.
it depends on the CPU lottery
some can run on lower voltages than other for the same speed
some reported their Ryzen 3600 runs at 1.43 volts at idle
since stocks market charts are mostly 2D
the GPU takes a back seat imo because there is no 3D elements that will tax the graphics
the CPU i picked is a 8 core 16 treads, it will be able to handle all the processing workloads from the trading software you use here. I cant seem to find any system requirements for tick chart and 1 min chart. So i can only based on the site i found since they list the system requirements
RAM is important since you have to load 6 screens as the same time. Each screen is an instance and if there isn't enough RAM, you might get stutters with the displaying of the charts. If you feel its not enough, we can bump it up to 32GB.
I been using WD HDD for years, so far i only got one failure of the many drives i got and installed. their SSD has no frills and its fast coz its NVME based which is faster than the normal SATA SSD. Booting up and loading your trading software will be lightning fast.
the HDD is secondary storage to keep your charts and excel files.
since you are not gaming, but you still need multi display
the RX570 has support for up to 5 displays directly or split to 6 1080P displays with the hub.
when you are not trading, you still have a capable machine to game on. :P
The case can be subjective, you can pick whichever you like the design
PSU wise dont ever cheap out on it. The last thing you want is the PSU fail and kill your PC.
Also being gold certified efficiency means the PSU will save you some power bills vs say a Bronze unit over the lifetime.
i dont know why AMD dont have a public service announcement on EOL products
AMD releases the AGESA BIOS to the mobo manufacturers AGESA 18.104.22.168 is the current version for better support for the Ryzen 3000 series.
but mobo manufacturers silently dropped BIOS support for the older A320 and B350 boards
my current Asus B350 board didnt have the AGESA 22.214.171.124 BIOS update.
Forza 4 recently has Toyota returned
you get get the Mk4 Supra and the AE86
i love driving the AE86 in many racing games that has it
nice its resolved
its said already
"The PC will operate 6 monitors, with the fastest frames per second operation possible for the budget due to the nature of the business scrolling through financial charts that are changing every second."
hes looking at the stock markets
PCPartPicker Part List
not sure what software you use
but i referred to Multicharts system requirements
Octa Core or higher
(3.5 GHz or higher) CPU
16 GB or higher RAM
8 GB or higher HDD space
Multi monitor support
here is the MST Hub you can get
also throw in a basic keyboard and mouse
never enable PBO on the stock cooler
PBO will push more volts to the CPU and making it run hotter than usual.
This will shorten the lifespan of your PC just for the extra bit of performance
first off change out the mobo
the A320 is more of less EOL already
AMD no longer have BIOS updates for the chipset
get at least the B450 chipset mobo
also i never heard of that PSU brand before, a quick google search and i find nothing much about the build quality of the PSU. The last thing you want to cheap out is the PSU.
Some PSUs can catch fire and burn your house down.
Get something more reliable
even thou this may be your streaming PC
the 8400 is an outdated GPU and may not work with Windows 10
even performs worse than the Intel's iGPU
and you still need a proper GPU to see what you are streaming mate
or see if you can find Seasonic or get the Corsair PSUs
get something like this unit for a piece of mind
i see gotcha mate
enjoy your build
interesting choice of GPU as from what i read the reason to go the Quadro route is because of ECC RAM and the 10bit color output vs the RTX2080.
is RT rendering supported?
some 3D artist suggest using Redshift3d not sure if you heard of this software.
glad you moved away from the Alienware crap
what monitor you are running?
the next upgrade is now the GPU
the SSD capacity is too small
I have a Sandisk 128GB SSD and with Windows updates and normal apps is already 80% filled
get at least a 250GB SSD
whats the main use of the PC?
gaming? streaming? video editing?
do you have the mouse keyboard and monitor?
this is my take on the build
Ryzen 3700X on the X570 board
you will get full PCI-E 4.0 support and lanes from the CPU and mobo chipset. the owner can stick in more NVME drives without worrying about running out of lanes.
And with a BIOS update, you can drop in the Ryzen 4000 series 16 cores or more CPU without any issues.
The build don't need a 750 watt PSU
the 650 Watts is more than plenty for this system
the air cooler is optional if the owner is not overclocking. the stock cooler should be enough for most general gaming and 8 cores and 16 treads is plenty even for streaming.
damn it test
you win this round...
hes trying to run 4x8GB sticks
but the he got 2 kits of the RAM
only certain models of RAM in quad kit works
that is a really low end PSU
the Lite was essentially a rebrand of either the B V2. or Elite II lines........ so, IIRC then no, they wouldn't be 'good' PSUs.
better have a fire extinguisher ready
among the programs
Maya was damn vague with the system requirements
and Unity demands a balanced system
Unreal was second highest in terms of system requirements
you can use a nVidia card with a FreeSync monitor
just that you wont get support if you experience issues with nVidia cards and the FreeSync monitor
how about the 2nd most latest BIOS?
worth a try and prob disable any power saving feature in the BIOS
the GT710 will be the weakest link for this console replacement
like other have said
the Ryzen 3 2200G/3200G or the bigger Ryzen 5 2400G/3400G will be miles better than the terrible GT710
the GT710 is more of a HDMI display for old PCs which dont have HDMI for TV display
lol good luck with your GPU purchase
sad to say i kinda suck at mechcommander :P
so yea tabletop games like Battletech are not my cup of tea
my mind works better in constant action games but only okish at FPS
most of the time i play racing games and racing sims like GT Sports, Forza and arcade racing like Need For Speed and Initial D
gotcha update me if anything is wrong or ok
only recent GPUs support the Freesync
the recent drivers for nVidia has freesync feature
its enabled in the nVidia control panel
can i know what BIOS revision are you on?
looking at Version 7010 upwards. It says Improve PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD compatibility
ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING BIOS 1405
Improve system performance.
on the SSD website
there is a software to download for it
you might want to try and see what it does, maybe you are missing drivers since this is a PCI-E 4.0 product or some firmware update
freesync is AMD only technology that reduces screen tearing
just like G-Sync which works with only nVidia cards
you can run a nVidia GPU with a Freesync monitor just that you wont be supported when you have issues getting Freesync to work with nVidia
the QVL is sure way to know if your RAM will work with the mobo
since Asus service rep confirmed your RAM is not supported
no point fighting over the RAM
i will get replacement RAM for your mobo that is supported
Press Shift + F10 keys together on the keyboard. This will open the command prompt window:
At the prompt, type "diskpart" and hit Enter.
the diskpart prompt type "list disk". This will list all the hard drives in the system.
At the diskpart prompt, type "select disk x", where x is the disk number that you want to clean. In our example, that is disk 5.
At the diskpart prompt, type "clean" and hit Enter. You will not be given a chance to opt out. Once you hit Enter, the disk will be erased.
try this to wipe the disk
if its just the desktop
here you go
kinda expected it was a limited production run CPU
shame thou i cant snag at least one before it was out of stock
at 170+ bucks minus shipping
i think it would be stupid to buy the 1600 AF over the said Ryzen 5 3600 which is the same price
they screwed us over with the epic store exclusive thing
when the pre-order was promised a steam key
missed a chance to get the epic store key on a twitch stream
someone way giving away keys for the game for free
my friend snagged one
the game has many flaws, for a game that was in development for years
PGI simply gave us the mod tool and allowed us to fix their s***
lmao someone will have to be stupid to buy that
it prob this case
