The only real issue I had, was trying to hold the cooler in place, while I screwed the backplate in. Other than that, I personally didn't have issues.
Updated this build. (12/15/16)
It's been working well. Really stable. :)
Though, it has gone several changes to it, with more to come soon. (I plan on updating this build, or posting a new one).
Won't list EVERY upgrade, but at least one major change was a switch from SteamOS to Windows 10. I personally felt SteamOS was too lacking in my book. Thus, the change. However, there was a sacrifice.. The Pentium no longer shows as being OC'ed (least in windows).
What's odd is, the bios will show an OC of 3.8 Ghz, however windows only shows 3.2. So, hoping I can find a way to get that working again.
One last part arrives next week, will update sometime after!
This build here. It's my motivation for my m-itx rig, "The PC Potato Console."
I am very curious how seamless all of the software is!
I just installed windows 10, and kodi on it. So far, it's not as seamless as it can be.. Though, one reason may be the hardware I have. :/
Not sure I if can provide benchmarks from steamos..?
Also, it definitely would be a toaster, if it ever receives my primary rigs gpu (as hand me down), an AMD Radeon R9 380. lol
Thanks! :) Now, all i gotta do is find a use for my remaining mobo+cpu+ram from my old gaming pc. (A Phenom x4 9600 + asus mobo + 4gb ddr2 ram)
Haha. With all those cables bundled up, sure seems like it might create one! :)
Curious- why two different brands of memory? (sorry, guess nitpicking here :P)
how is this even in same ballpark as the build? about $150 more.
Nice! How's the 6300 been performing for you? Debating on either the 6300, 8320, or intel 4460 for my next build.
How did it go fitting the cpu cooler in there? I have this case, and plan to use it for a future build. Would like to use the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO as well.
I think more people use the FX series than you care to admit. :)
