Its a great cpu for the price! i built a computer for my friend who has one
i know when i saw the price go down i knew i had to get it before it went back up, waiting on my motherboard to ship :)
seeing the prices of these cpus makes me happy that i got my 4690k for $179.99 at microcenter :)
Cool looking build i just wanted to point out that the cards in your picture and the cards in your parts list dont match up, but i cant find the actual card on pcpp so oh well, Also why sli and not a 980ti
I totally understand the 4690k, my opinion i would still get a 4690k over the 6600k because i got mine for $179 and the 6600k goes for $259
plus he spent $240 dollars for each one
Do you have any plans to upgrade the cpu in the future?
i know i didnt have the money for that board but i love the way it looks! also it is a different cooler if you look at how they look.
Lol around a week ago i went to micro center to get the same case in white and in 3 hours they sold 7 of the case, making them sold out. Now i will remember to call them to hold one for me
Looks awesome, and i love the white! were did you get the mother board and what did you pay for it also i think you put the wrong gpu as this looks to be the one you used: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127833&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
were did you get the motherboard :o
wow ok well that seems really high for that gpu
do you have good air flow in your case because that seems way too hot!
cool thanks for replying
i know this is kinda late but i want a white gpu for my new pc im building and i fell in love with your card when i first saw them, i wanted to know is there anything i should note before i buy and paint them example: do i need to buy new thermal compound, did it take a long time, what type of paint do i need, i saw you put that you platidipped the cooler can i just use paint, was it easy to get the cooler/ back plate off? This would be helpful as i have not taken a cooler off a gpu and i would like to so i can make it look awesome :) thanks for all the help

God i love the Hof card, would buy it in a heart beat if it was $350 for my setup
Lol i saw your review on that power supply, its $100 now. Why did you get 16gb of ram, i mean you only need 8gb for gaming.
oh ok well 10/10 on the out come! :)
Love the paint job and would buy it in a heart beat, how long did that take you?
also why did you buy the black/blue one when there is a black/black one?
thanks, as for upgrading i have bought a 4690k and im going to get a r9 390, the build should be up around the end of the month :)
no im saying he should have gotten a intel mobo and the 4690k
i was hoping they would make a new processor at around $220-$260 but i got a 4690k for $179 so if they do all skip but it was a let down
lol i saw a build posted a day ago about how people mainly name them beast or awesome lol
great build though
it does around the same from what ive seen on 5 different videos and irl testing
oh ok sorry i posted this at 4 am so i might have not seen that, but what i said about the 5820k is true (in the us) if you have a microcenter,
i love microcenter
read what i said dude.
no need to be rude
oh ok that must suck not having the same prices as the us
What i would have done if this was my build, first i would have gone with the 5820k its about $50 cheaper and its 6 cores will be good for video editing. Keep in mind that money saved would be put towards the motherboard. After that i would have then bought a hyper 212 evo good cooling for only $30. Another thing i would have done is bought something like a nzxt s340 for only $60 for i would save a extra $70 from your build. With all that money saved i would have then gone with a msi r9 390 @ $305 only around $75 more dollars.
over all i think your build is good just that you could have put some more time into researching the parts for your build with your needs.
honestly i don't know why people go with skylake, the 4690k does better than the 6600k and its $30 cheaper also the 4790k and 6700k and gaming are around the same performance but the 6700k is $79 more. Perhaps there is something i don't under stand that you can tell me?
But why????? Yes it looks cool but you should try to upgrade your gpu because if like two years that gpu will not be able to run new games
they can be overclocked its just very hard
lol i was just saying :D
-=Puts a white build name on the name but has red ram, white/red motherboard and a black/red gpu and a blue ssd???=-
not trying to be mean but these people have a point, first all ask are you going to be buying a aio or custom?
not trying to hate but these are reasons not to buy the aio:
1. non-k cpu not good at overclocking (hard to do)
2. non-overclocking motherboard
3. you could put the money into getting a better cpu/gpu
4. it would not matter because of looks, because of how the window on the case it and by how you cable management looks you don't care about how it looks.
I would just like too know why you would buy water cooling for it, remember here on the pcpp community just want to help out and are not trying to be mean.
that sucks, i have a friend who was going some were and he got a cpu on the way there for like $50 off. I have one like 20 miles a way that just got build not too long ago.
microcenter they have been $179 for like a month (give or take $10)
could use some cable management and why did you not go with the 4690k? its $20 cheaper and it gives more performance than the 8370
great build, not a fan of the red/black because of it being over used, but this is a good build. Could use some serious cable management though, would make the build look 500% better!
also i don't like how the extra gpu cables are just there...
oh i didn't know it didn't have intake fans, also positive airflow if for less dust too not just airflow.
why did you take out the intake fans, have you ever heard of stay positive?
(personally) i would have only gotten 8gb of ram, so that i could get a gtx 960 and a i5- 4690k
well thats my luck
We're did you get the graphics cards for so cheap
could you give that friend a call for me please, would love a gpu like that for that price :)
for the people saying that one card would have been better, what is he got them on sale, i got a msi 960 4g oc for only $165 - making two the same price as a 970...
were did you get it i cant find any deals any were :(
