Unrelated, but I just realized something about Intel's chip names.

Devil's Canyon - a canyon can fill with water Broadwell - a well for water Haswell - see Broadwell Skylake - a lake is a body of water Kaby lake - see Skylake

Intel, just how much do you want us to watercool our builds?

First time builders are building at the perfect time due to the launch of Pascal and Polaris GPUs. Is there any noticeable difference having 1GB less VRAM than normal? Nice first build.

Suggestion time!

Why 16GB of RAM if WOW is one of if not the most intensive games you play. Do you edit videos? Also, if you only play WOW, you could have bought an i3 6100 instead to save ~$80.

If you want to, Call it i5-2000R

i5 (Because it's an i5) 2000 (Because of the Corsair 200R, but 2000 because Intel only had 3 digit model numbers for a short time) R (Sort of like T, P, or U processors, and the R in 200R

Same. You could have saved $30.

But, you probably could earn that money back when you upgrade and sell your 6600K.

It's interesting how PCPP has the NZXT S340 Elite which has been out for about a week, but not the NCase M1 which has been out much longer. Doritos logic.

Having a pretty lucky week.. Nice!

(I just wish someone would ditch their iMac by the curb or in the alley or something)

You did a good job for the price. +1

I would have personally gone for a Cryorig H7 (~£28) and the NZXT S340 Elite with a tempered glass side panel (~£79)

Did you go to Freegeek or something for that i7? Seriously, tell me now. And what prebuilt was the case from?

For the cooler, something like the Cryorig H7 should help your thermals immensely. It's only ~$35 and looks quite nice.

Maybe a EVGA power supply after that? 80+ Bronze ones are cheap.

To add something, I'd suggest the Ikea Linnmon for your desk. You're going to have to do your cable management again, but it will greatly improve the looks of your setup.

Just enter Setup Wars. You'll enter eventually. ;-)

I still think EKWB could market this as aftermarket coolers for existing 950 Pros, for example, or SM 951s, even though no water is involved.

Are you sure that's a shield and not modules or the sticker? I couldn't find anything.

Comment reply on nebelwerferx's Completed Build: MSI setup

Here's what I would do :

On the side facing the side panel : A full cover with up to 1 cm-high fins.

On the side facing the motherboard : A full backplate with vents similar in design to those on MSI's TwinFrozer VI cards.

In addition, the aluminum shields can be taken off to apply aftermarket thermal paste, such as Arctic Silver 5 or whatever.

True. FD should make a tempered glass version.

People think cable management is already crazy in the Node 202 now. with a tempered glass side panel, it will, well, let's just say about 230% more expletives will be said related to cable management.

One suggestion : Switch the orientation of the Dark Rock 3 so its fan is facing towards the front of the case. You currently have the fan on the DR3 as well as the exhaust fan fighting each other.
