Stock cooler is more than sufficient for not OCing (OverClocking). The stock Intel cooler is a bit on the loud side, but it performs just fine. Don't really need any aftermarket coolers if you're not OCing aside from aesthetics.
Not really. I never see it surpass ~70C or so even during FireStrike w/ an ASIC of 79.5%
That setup looks insanely cool.
Was thinking about getting into water cooling. Maybe the next time I have a bunch of time on my hands I'll seriously look into it. $900 is pretty crazy, damn...
The MSI board is doing pretty well. I like it so far and got it for so cheap that it's hard to complain about anything. Looks nice, inexpensive, BIOS are pretty easy to navigate too.
Ah, nice. Lots of money saved. That monitor looks pretty awesome too. Was thinking of grabbing a 4k monitor too, but I'll save that plan for later.
Oh yeah... forgot about that. I'll give it a try. Thanks!
Yeah, I mean... if I ordered it all at once I'd be pretty reluctant to dropping this much money at once.
But, I ordered everything over a couple months. Forgot to keep tracking costs and for the last two pieces (GPU/Monitor), decided to just throw it all down and go for it
Thanks! Yeah, the water-cooled GIgabyte 980 TI is an absolute beast.
The Luxe... the pictures honestly don't do it any justice. It's a beautiful case with tons of space and great build quality.
Indeed, was scared at first but once the parts all came... no regrets.
Hm... hard question. Maybe you are right and I'll end up throwing another one in there in three months or less. Though, if I were to, I'd want to get the same exact card (hard to come by though) but the issue with that is that I'm completely out of space for fans, I think. 280mm rad w/ fans + 140mm on top, 140mm on rear, 200mm in front, and threw the fan w/ my GPU onto the top hard drive bay.
Only options left would be to remove the shroud and place it on the floor of the case, though I really like how the shroud looks.
Picked it up from Newegg. Recently released I believe, they ran out of stock within a few hours. I only know that Amazon/Newegg sell it, not sure where else.
Indeed, though for now, I'm satisfied w/ a 2k monitor. Tempting recommendation though...
True! I don't regret going overboard after it was all and done. It runs superbly
