But they have a z370 mobo so the AIO will come in handy when they get a i5 or i7 K cpu.
Oh my God
cinebench thinks the i5 was a Xeon?
I wonder why NZXT gave that case a pot belly.
Much thanks. Gonna see how far I can push mine.
Nice build as usual. What were the final numbers you got for the overclock?
There should be some videos on YT with the FX-6300 and PUBG.
It gets the job done. +1
Did you run tests on that ASL GTX 1050ti to make sure it's legit?
Nice build. These LGA1156 i5/i7 are good for practicing overclocking.
Which computer parts merchant do you recommend on that site?
If you're planning to get a GPU, aim for a Ryzen 5 1500X (4c8t) or 1600 (6c12t) as your CPU.
Poor frame rates in two well-optimized games with that hardware?
The only thing I can recommend is either doing an optimization of your OS so it doesn't run a bunch of pointless background processes while gaming or try doing a fresh install.
Is this a Galactus reference?
That's interesting. How does it work compared to B350 mobos?
"A week after I got the 2400G, RX580 RMA replacement arrived."
Nice build though.
Built June 2017 apparently.
I didn't know a chip called the Core i5-661 even existed.
Slowest computer I've used was probably the first one I've owned. I don't even remember what model it was. It was some... thing with Windows 95 on it. It ran Tomb Raider 1 badly and crashed when I tried to print my homework.
You mean something like this?
Current Mobos (AM4, LGA1151) only support DDR4 RAM.
Keep playing the game but monitor the performance with MSI Afterburner or otherwise. Also run some tests with other games to see if the problem continues.
You can also check the temperatures like the other user suggested.
The inside's lit up like a Christmas tree.
Because the Sony Bravia KD-65X9000B is a 4k HD TV so he probably wanted a 4k capable GPU.
Yes, the RX 570 performs better than the GTX 1050ti but the pricing is still ridiculous. A GTX 1060 3gb would be better than the GTX 1050 in your planned build.
You're one well organized fellow nerd.
Nice. Ghost Recon Wildlands is one of the games on my wishlist. How were the benchmarks if you took any?
Just let them keep deleting/installing games ;-)
Welcome to the PC Gamers Guild.
Pretty good build. A lot of hard work went into it.
I'm surprised the Rosewill PSU worked.
But I honestly ended up here because under the page for the i7-8700k completed builds it says you got it to 51GHz. gg
But how does it feel to be broke? (j/k)
The description says it's a GTX 960 but he left it out.
I have two questions:
1) Is the cooler really above the RAM slots?
2) How's that GTX 1050 treating you?
" Because i got the i3 for 119 used, it did NOT come with its stock heatsink..."
How much does it usual cost in AUD$ because that sounds like a horrid deal.
(i3 6100 new in US$110. AUD$119 = US$92)
Seems pretty good. I'm planning to go Skylake too and get an i5 6500 or i7 6700 later.
His minimum power usage is listed as 385W. How much is he pulling at the 4.6GHz ?
Featured. Well done, mate.
It's like Frankenstein.
Painting your PC red doubles your CPU clock speed.
Ah. So this is a computer. :o
Does it still run Hitman at 1440p/41 fps?
Bottleneck? More like Strawneck.
My boi using ghetto tactics to hold up the graphics card too.
There's an A320 board that supports overclocking?
Even though it's an October build, he probably started buying the parts way before the Coffee Lake pricing/release announcements.
"...performace was as enjoyable and smooth as spreading honey on Keira Knightley excitement brewing."
Probably meant first build for himself.
Cross your fingers and pray it was a used/old/hand-me down parts build.
Nice build but you could've cut costs in other areas to shove a GPU in there.
well Xbox 1 X (weird name) has 4k and VR support. All you'll need is a better GPU.
I have no idea what I'm looking at but I love it.
