Yes the cooler supports AM4 out of the box. It does not block any of the RAM slots so RAM height was not an issue

The pump is a little loud for my taste but no complaints otherwise, fans are quiet and it was easy to install.

It's been working fine so far, no problems with overclocking or anything like that. The UEFI is a little basic compared to the Crosshair VI Hero board that I also own though

I would personally ditch the stock cooler if you're looking to overclock to 3.8+ GHz just to keep the fan noise/temps down.

An AIO isn't really needed though, you'll be plenty fine with a decent mid-range air cooler

If you wait for some of the cheaper Ryzen CPUs to be released, sure. I wouldn't pair these parts with a 1700/1800X CPU and motherboard though

You should invest in a nice mouse (and mouse pad) when you can, it will improve your aim in those shooters you play. Something like a Nixeus Revel, Dream Machines DM1 Pro S or even the Logitech G102 would suffice

Comment reply on gorillionaire's Completed Build: Redemption

If you hold the wrench at a 45 degree angle that can sometimes work. Also do it without your RAM and GPU installed. Otherwise getting an angled wrench from a different CPU cooler if you have one would probably work best
