Awesome build. I'm in the process of building one very very similar. I already have the Titan X, The Asus X99 Mobo, And a Corsair 1000Watt PSU and am also planning on going with the 5820k-just haven't bit the bullet and bought it yet haha. How is the 1TB 850 Evo working out for ya? I see excellent reviews on them, but am sorta conflicted as to whether I want 1TB of SSD storage or just get the 500 and get 2TB on a WD Black maybe? Or a Samsung 960 even? One of the few things I really haven't decided on yet. That and the RAM I had pretty much decided on Corsair Dominator Platinum 2400 16GB (8x2). What made you choose the Vengeance 3000 (4x4)? Do you do a lot of gaming on it?
Don't guess I'm familiar with it
That's what I was wondering...
Looks good, nice job. I'm in the process of building something similar and can't decide on what mobo I really want. What made you go with the sabertooth? I read on specs it doesn't have wifi(not many boards do actually)? Do you have any means of using wifi with this build out of curiosity?
I'm currently in the process of building a computer with a very similar structure as yours, so far I have the same graphics card and cpu cooler and am about to get the same cpu to go with it(sorta how I stumbled across your build). I'm having a difficult time choosing my mobo honestly and I wondered if there were any specific factors that made you choose the one you did(besides color scheme lol).
I am in the process of buying parts for a build, but still debating what I really want as this is my first build where I have actually spent any large sum of money. I already have a titan x and a corsair H100i. That's all I've purchased lol. Seems like a strange way to go about buying things I'm sure, but I got a good deal on the Titan and had a best buy gift card so I picked up the fan for $50. I'm intending to make this a gaming rig and want it to be capable of running games on 4k smoothly, but at the moment I'll probably just plug it into my 55in LG Google Smart TV and run it on 1080p so I'd like to think that with a Titan I should have ridiculous FPS playing on 1080p. I mostly play open world games(primarily elder scrolls). I was also looking at this same processor(5820k) for my build, but I'm not sure if thats overkill or not. And same goes with the mobo. I'm sorta unsure if the ones I've been looking at are more than what I need or not.
I have been wondering nearly the same thing about hooking up my LG 55in. Smart 3D TV as a monitor. Since I'm still in the planning stages of building the PC I haven't been able to make to many concrete decisions about things since I'm clueless to whether this size of television will effect framerate. I'm primarily going to be using the PC for gaming so I was looking at putting a EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclocked GPU in it, however it's hard to come to any real decisions until I know what I'm going to do about the TV situation...
