Hello! I purchased that decal off of Etsy. The original seller I bought it from a couple years ago no longer has it, but I found another one with a few different designs. [Here is an Etsy link.]
I see. I appreciate your help!
Thank you for the effort!
What size monitor? What resolution do you want? What is your budget?
21:9 monitors are growing more popular, but are still a fairly niche product. 21:9 monitors are produced in 21", 29", and 34" sizes. Please remember that monitors are measured diagonally, and since these are ULTRA WIDE monitors, size may be skewed. A 29" 21:9 is only as tall as a 24" traditional monitor, for example.
If you went as large as 34", would you be able to deal with only a 1080p resolution?
Your budget also plays a big role in helping you choose or recommend a monitor.
Impressive, great job!
How did you secure the acrylic backplate to your graphics card? It looks elevated.
+1, way to make an entry level build look high end.
Also, commenting to save for later.
PCPP needs a "Favorite" feature.
This is very impressive, great job!
PCPP really needs to add a "favorite" feature.
Very clean and impressive build!
PCPP needs a save/favorite feature! Incredible build.
Commenting here to come back for inspiration at another time.
Looking great! Needs some pictures of the whole setup!
Have you noticed any issues with the 850 EVO 1tb M.2?
Very impressive. If there was ever a reason to add a "favorites" function to PCPP, this is it.
And you're never late, everybody else just got here early!
The i3-6100 is holding up fairly well, it's taking everything thrown at it in stride at just 1080p.
However, the new Kaby Lake Pentium G4560 has all but officially replaced it, with it being ~90% of the performance for ~60% of the price (when it's in stock).
Thanks, appreciate it!
Thank you for the information. Have a great day and enjoy your newly built rig!
Very nice, you should be proud.
I am looking into this case for a project. Does the front panel come off? And how about the top panel as well?
[Walmart link] to the exact spray paint I used.
Krylon brand "SuperMAXX metallic gold".
Don't forget to try to sand the surface, and several light coats usually give more favorable results than a couple heavier coats.
Keep me posted!
Thank you! I fixed my own listing and part review to correctly reflect this.
AH DAMN now I'm gonna have an extra set of 8gb ddr4 ram...
... Might as well build another computer
Thanks! You've got some good ones yourself
Local computer repair/IT shop had it, brand new in box, for some reason.
I asked about it, and they said It could be mine for $40.
And that's aobout how this "spare parts build" was born
Thanks! The sticker was a surprise, and probably her favorite part, besides peeling the factory plastic wrap.
where's ur girlfriend

Unfortunately, I've no experience at all with any Phanteks case. But they seem to have a cult following, so you should definitely list out pros and cons of each and read up on their reviews!
Temps? Too crowded?
Temps? Too crowded?
Temps inside the case are decent. The airflow is not the greatest, so the temps could definitely be better. But it's nothing to worry about. H440's later revisions do improve a bit on airflow, so look into that.
Plenty of room in front of the mobo. It's where the cables are behind the motherboard that's the problem. I suggest you plan out ahead if cable management is your thing. That massively thick 24-pin is going to give you trouble for sure. Take this into consideration when planning/choosing a case.
tubing ring thingy
tubing ring thingy
It's anti-kink coil. Or at least that's what I bought. Measure the diameter of whatever tubing you are looking to install it on. Make sure the diameter you choose is not too large, otherwise the coil will not "sit" and will just retract. The right size will require you to "hand-wind" the coil onto the tube. This is excruciatingly slow, so I'd recommend putting on a show while you do this.
Be sure to sand and paint several even coats if you plan to paint the coils!
Also, please be sure to post your own setup. We all cannot wait to see!
Yes, for a marginal difference you can save ~$30
You can lower the overall price by ~$30 by substituting the 850 Evo with the Adata SP550, Crucial BX100, or even better PNY 1311. All these 240gb size are ~$55-$65 and you will not notice any real world difference in performance.
Setup Wars as in TechSource Setup Wars?? Hah, awesome! Which one?
Hang on, I'll pm you
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I also agree with your reasoning on powerline vs a cheap wireless card. I think the biggest advantage for me was the reliability of a wired connection.
Thanks! I found them on www.ThePixelEmpire.com
It's empty for right now.. But it's coming soon! To completed guides near you!
Thanks! The desk is very open, which was both nice and difficult for the cable management.

Thanks friend! For my first build, I think I'm very satisfied with it!
Hahaha, I love deal hunting. I built right after Black Friday. I bought from the main places, such as newegg, Amazon, superbiz, b&hphoto. A few items required rebates, which I sent off and already received.
Most of my cost-cuts were from finding a better deal after I purchased the item, so I called my credit card to price match and I receive difference in a check.
Oh if only I could receive an extra 72 votes..
Thanks, I definitely believe it is! It wasn't part of my original plan, I wanted to stick with black and white. But I am so very glad I ran with the gold!
I think a 32 in monitor might be okay in the center. Your computer could be on either far side on top, or you could place it down on the side, since the middle shelves can be removed.

That's pretty much the same desk, just different brand name. Also be careful not to sit/put too much weight on the top middle, it will start to bow
Thanks! I'm glad you agree! I originally wanted to do another black and white, but I guess it adds a bit of personality eh?
Thanks man! Truly appreciate that!
You've got a couple options if you want to try wrapping the cooler tubes. I used anti kink coils. Sanded and multiple coats of spray paint. Make sure you measure the diameter of the tubes! The coils gotta be snug or they wil just completely retract and won't grip to the tubes. Another option is to cut regular tubing in half, stick in pot of boiling water for it to become more malleable, and wrap over the tubes. Zip ties might be necessary to keep ends from flaring. Thanks! Cable management, dood!
I got the desk from walmart, it's still available. Mainstays' double parsons desk.
Note: the box is very wide and somewhat heavy. Remember to unbox in a big open area. Setup took me about 90 minutes. Put on a show or some music!
Thanks! I truly appreciate that.
Yours is pretty good too!
Hah! I only have it to play the old Halo and Gears of War games.
Thank you very much!
Thanks! Aesthetics is a very big point to me. I tried black and white at first, and though it looked nice, it lacked personality. Tertiary colors can definitely bring the pop !
