My current rig is so similar. Running 2600X, 1080 Ti & the AW 240Hz monitor. +1
Highly recommend a mild OC on the CPU, maybe 4.7 or 4.8GHz unless you go the delid route. +1
Maybe pop one of those 6 core Xeons in there and overclock it?
Wholesome PC building! +1
If you look at the motherboard, I am certain that it was built with the intent to upgrade shortly down the road. Probably to an 8700.
Also the free games with the RX 570. AMD just owns the budget end of PC components.
That's a very nice rig. Love team red. I'm sure that V64 can handle 144Hz! +1
Sick build, amazing OC on the 1700! +1
InWin Polaris fans are super sexy got a few of them myself.
2, 2, and 1 120mm.
Why a bottom fan in the 1st place? xD
Lol its a yoke ... I think entry level these days is RX 570 4GB.
I wish I had photography and photoshop skills as good as yours. My photography has come a long way but the way you list the specs and stuff is so sick. What software do you use?
They're pretty affordable with same quality and better looks than Noctua. Scythe has my all-time favorite coolers.
I think you mean AMD 1800X, and yea, they go for less than half the price lol
Good rig on a good budget +1
How does one lose a GTX 970?
The case is perfect!
Did your PC get arrested too? +1
Well done +1
That mesh looks cool! +1
Nice! The upgrade to Ryzen 3000 is so close though.
Cables look fine. Good job +1
Just wait for the 3800X.
I am well on my way to financing a custom loop for my next upgrade from flipping PC's, it's a good feel!
Also, I don't think Asus Aura Sync works with NZXT Hue/CAM.
Why not just use the stock cooler that comes with the 2600?
I was thinking the same, lots of liquid, but only one rad.
What is the load temp on the 1800X? Pretty impressed you can keep it cool doing streaming/gaming in that tiny case!
Damn clean. I love that CPU heatsink.
I have the same case, waiting to build in it though. Should be a good one! +1
It runs really great, just not the best gamer.
Thanks man! +1
I agree the mirage setting on the Prism cooler looks really cool. Got one meself!
Damn the 8700K is still way too expensive, especially the required cooling and (optional) delidding.
Missing the custom RGB cables (strimmers?) -1
Have you even overclocked? Is your RAM running its' rated speed? I suggest 16GB RAM, otherwise this build will easily destroy Apex at FHD lol.
How about the traditional "Unicorn Barf"?
Pro4's are solid boards for the price. I've used a handful.
I would aim for $50 - $75 profit on this one otherwise it might be considered overpriced.
Nice upgrades, that old case was certainly hideous.
5Ghz??? Tha ****
70-80fps at 1440p? At 1080p ultra that would be normal on AAA titles like you mentioned. Pretty sure those chips overclock to close to 4.5Ghz and won't bottleneck a 1080 Ti. That's what I recommend. A 2600X would be a small upgrade but not much, I would wait for Ryzen 2 (3000 series) this summer.
Haswell is still great, especially delidded and OC'd. DDR3 and DDR4 perform very closely for gaming when you run fast DDR3 with tight timings. Should last ya another few years +1
