With your thoughts for upgrading it you will have a lot of fun with your build for a long time.
Just my 2 cents:
buy a 2nd (250GB) M.2 with PCIe like 970 EVO and use it instead of your M.2 with SATA for your OS and programs. This in combination with your GTX 1070 will be a good combo especially for 3D rendering.
The radiator is part of the NZXT X52.
The NZXT X52 is a AiO water cooling system. It is ready-to-use and contains the CPU cooler with a top mounted pump/reservoir and the radiator with fans.
Don't drink and play :D
Looks very nice and clean.
You are welcome
The desk is the IKEA Karlby walnut countertop and the ALEX drawer and cubicle. The countertop is the 186cm wide version.
Some people drill holes in it to hide the mouse and keyboard cable. I prefer sleeving both cables together so it looks like one :)
I like the color combo.
You didn't see how it looks under my desk xD
But I'm working on it :)
Normally a 27" monitor is about 60cm wide. My monitor is about 82cm wide so if you center your gaming monitor there should be no problem :)
The desk is the IKEA Karlby walnut countertop and the ALEX drawer and cubicle. The countertop is 186cm wide so a lot of place :)
You mean the Ryzen logo at the right? This is a SSD cover I bought at ColdZero
The Strix Logo below that is a SSD cover as well.
Fun fact: ordering the SSD cover in Portugal was cheaper than ordering them in Germany including shipping costs :D
I like the monitor. A lot of space for work. :)
I'm working with Blender sometimes and it is great to use it on a 21:9 with 3440x1440
The desk is 186cm wide (73.23 inches)
The distance to the computer case could be a bit small if you use two 27" monitor and mount them centered to the desk
The 24 pin cable is a extension I made, the CPU and VGA cables are both fully modular ones
I agree with you and I was positive surprised to see my build as a featured one.
Which doesn't mean the other (expensive) builds aren't worth it. They looks great and if I ever have the chance to build a pc without having a look to my pocket it would be a pleasure to use the chance :D
I wasn't sure about using an aio watercooling system but it was a good choice especially for the aesthetic of the build
It is the LG 34UC88-B ultrawide monitor
IKEA Karlby walnut countertop and ALEX drawer. The most used desk combo at the moment I think :o)
Thank you :D
The room is still in progress ^
All in all I like a clean setup and it is strange how much space a keyboard, mouse and computer case can take on a nearly 2 meter wide desk xD
Yes the X52 looks better and isn't that dominant.
Why do you think the motherboard is a non overclocking one?? Z170 chipset and a bunch of overclocking features listed in BIOS show me it is ;)
Yeah, I think I will contact them. Would be interesting which answer I'll get.
Thanks for the info.
Meanwhile it looks like all Cryorig cooler are out of stock. :D
Waiting for new delivery
As I'm planing a similar rig, how about the temperature of the CPU with the H7?
Which distro do you use?
Did you ask in a Linux forum as well? Maybe this is a kernel or distribution problem.
As it is rather hard to find a mITX that's fit to my common setup, I am thinking about this case, mainboard and cpu cooler as well.
Good to see that it is fully compatible but the distance between cpu cooler and graphics card seems a bit close.
yeah cheapest I have found is about 90 Euro (~100 USD).
It will be possible for me but 153+ Euro (~246 NZD) for shipping...
I have added a completed build to my profile with this case.
Yep. But without the side window.
It is a great case but I'm going new ways now :)
The mobo has gone the way of all flesh. That's why I needed to get a new computer.
The CPU cooler will get a special place on my desk ^
I did it my own. That isn't that complicated. You need a little drill and a special pliers for the rivets to fix the bottom rail again. The top rail is fixed with screws.
I will have a look. :) Don't know if there are any more pictures. Had a crash of my hdd in the past. :(
OK. I thought installing two pumps in serial makes the "second" one useless as the first pump doesn't use the pressure of the second one to increase the pressure.
Again what learned :)
Useless usage of two pumps or are they working parallel?
I would also recommend socket 1150 instead of 1151. The performance isn't worth the socket 1151.
If you really want to get the 1080 or 1070 you'll need a better monitor. 27" WQHD or 34" ultrawide is a must. And you might think about G-Sync as ajcardiac linked above.
Keep in mind G-Sync monitors are more expensive than FreeSync monitors.
This is a setup without a GTX1080:

Maybe if you are not overclocking and don't want to use m.2, you can choose a board with Z87 chipset as well.
Nice to know, thanks :)
Gaming will be the primary way of usage. I do rendering as well but not that much.
