1) It doesn't even look like a budget case. It looks awesome and shows off the parts beautifully. Why spend more when you ticked both those boxes for less?

2) 140 is fine as long as they don't care too much about noise. And with closed back headphones, I doubt it's an issue. That cooler is still sufficient for a 6600k.

3) They re-used that CPU from their last build. It's not new.

For all of the "criticism" you gave you could have at least thrown in a compliment somewhere.

I just bought the 450W version of that PSU for my sister's budget gaming rig and plan to buy 2 more (650W) for my brother and I. I saw it as soon as it was added to the site and was stoked to see EVGA released a 80+ Bronze fully modular PSU. Means I'm not forced to buy the gold rated model for $25-$30 more.

Tell me, were your cables like super rigid? I ask because I basically couldn't move the cables anywhere once they were already plugged in. They had very little give. So despite having a fully modular PSU its still a rat's nest inside my sister's little Thermaltake Core V1 xD though not uncommon for that case anyway I guess. Lesson learned, buy custom cables next go.

Anywho, very nice build. Simple and clean, +1 from me. I actually waited a whole year for Vega to drop only to decide I'm going with the 1080 after it finally arrived. Still getting a Freesync monitor too; oh well. Haha!

I've run into the same issue. The case I want isn't windowed yet all the parts I've picked feature RGB. Can't really do anything about it. If I could ditch the RGB I would but that would also come with a performance drop. I'm just going to turn it all off. Or maybe I'll just bite the bullet and spend extra on a windowed case and shmancy sleeved cables. But that's an extra $200+, lol.

Well, as long as your case fans have fresh air to pull in then your CPU will always have fresh air to cool itself even if it's a little warmer than the air outside it's still much cooler than the CPU itself. If you mean water cooling specifically like the op's build then the CPU is getting air directly from outside the case as the radiator is likely mounted for intake. You could just have an open air design like on the Thermaltake Core P3 but it's not ideal for air cooling though will still work fine with an air cooler. You usually want the airflow to have some sort of direction for optimal cooling. i.e cool air through the front and out the back or from the bottom and out the top, etc.

I'm like, drooling over this monitor and debating whether or not I wanna work for an extra month after I have the money for everything else just to afford it. I was considering the LG 34UC79G-B just to have the Ultrawide experience but it's only 2560x1080p. Think it's worth the month? Haha.

While I can't tell you why the op regrets not going for Ryzen, if I were to guess it may be because they do some heavily multi-thread dependant tasks that Ryzen would have been better suited for. That's the only thing I can think of since the 7700k and 1700x are basically the same price.

As for your second question, the most logical orientation would be that they have the 2 front fans as intake for the CPU & the rest of the fans are set to exhaust. Of course I could be wrong. That's just what makes the most sense.

I actually held out for Vega. To be honest I'm....a tad disappointed. Think of how long ago I could have just purchased a 1080, lol. Nice build though. Hopefully if the prices ever go down to normal you can still get your Vega card.

Well that is solely dependent on one's financial situation. It seems too expensive to you, but if you have the cash to spend then obviously it's not going to be a big deal. Keep in mind someone worried about their budget would try to save money wherever applicable. Why be bothered about someone else's money?

Gives you an old "3-D glasses" vibe. I think the red and blue look really cool together. Also the part about the M.2 made me chuckle. That's a Manta ray, right? I assume it is...Manta ray...NZXT Manta. Because a Stingray killed The Crocodile Hunter. And I've vowed to vanquish every Stingray I see in his name....and also for Valhalla. If that is in fact a Stingray for some reason, then I have no choice but to Negan the hell out of your PC.

Don't take it personally though. You can still have a +1.

Well my desk isn't very big so I'm considering the Lian-Li PC-05SX. Although I don't have the guts to go custom loop yet so I'd just use an AIO, hah. I really love those colors together and have been torn between green & purple or green & blue for a while now. Finally decided on the purple a few days ago and seeing this makes me think I made the right choice.

Only 14 pops so far. Most were gifts from my mom. Whenever she sees one I don't have she just buys it. I think she likes seeing my collection grow almost as much as I do. As far as your mascot goes I wanna say Riddler, Buzz Lightyear, The Hulk or The Joker but that's only because of the colors. They may not the coolest ones you could get, lol. The Green Lantern is awesome and would still match if that's important to you. I get a "futuristic" vibe when I look at this build and your coolant even looks like it's glowing. But there's PLENTY to choose from...too many.

Did you get any bad bleeding with your panel? Even looking at the recent Amazon reviews makes me skeptical enough to possibly go for the TN. ;~; More people are getting lucky than not but I've never had the best luck with.....well, anything. >cue the world's smallest violin.

You know, I've never really been able to notice resolution while gaming to the point where it bothers me. I game less than 5 feet from a 42" 1080p TV when I play my consoles and I never think "Man, this 1080p res on this 42" display looks like trash!" heh. I dunno, maybe I'm just weird. I only notice resolutions when it comes to reading text, never gaming.
