well its not that hard to do if you want to spend the time fixing it but based on the case you chose you wont see it so it shouldn't matter too much if you decided to leave it.

They have identical performance in games that do not utilize more than 4gb vram. So unless they are modding Skyrim or Fallout heavily, they should be fine in most titles (if not all of them?).

It makes sense if he bought it at a microcenter around black Friday because the unlocked version actually cost less but it can't be over clocked on the non-z170 mobo.

It's not a good change. It used to be better than their mobile version and now I find both difficult to use. I can even select my saved parts list thanks to the ability to swap their positions. It's quite irritating.
