Just upgraded to an 8700k, hybrid 1080ti, rog maximus x code, and 32gb of 3200 ram. Will be doing a slight upgrade in my monitor next week then posting an update on the build.

Exquisite build! Not just the tower, but every single thing in your desk setup is on point down to cable management. Clearly a lot of time and dedication has gone into this. Great work and deserving of a feature.

Thanks! I'm hoping to have a mini ITX build done by the end of the year.

Yeah, I had to swap several of them over to correct that and never took additional pictures detailing it.

I forgot to mention there is a black plate that needs to be removed for the GPUs to fit. You'll see it in place prior to the 1070s being installed. It only took a couple of screwa being removed to take it out.

Thanks!

Long-term, I will remove a lot of the fans and make a custom loop. Being that this was my first build, I wanted to stick with air, but leave room to grow.

-Gap- I have a 1/4" gap between my cards and the red plate.

-Connections- http://i.imgur.com/Bo1FlwJ.jpg See how the plastic mold around the connections is either square or rounded? Some of the connections on the cable were square and the port they plugged into were rounded on the GPU. I "shaved" them down to be more rounded so they would fit.

Also noticed Micro Center isn't listed as a seller for the i7-4790k. Might be related.

Seems fine, I would recommend swapping that GPU for a Gigabyte, Asus, or MSI version. The Club 3D doesn't have great reviews with massive coil whine and DOA units being the most common complaints. A good rule of thumb is to put a large part of your budget into your GPU.

Gigabyte: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvr928wf3oc3gd

Asus: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-r9280dc2t3gd5

MSI: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-r9280gaming3g

Note The Asus and MSI are red and won't match the blue RAM. You could easily pick a red ram color for the same price though.

It would be helpful if you could list what you already have.

Try this. http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/dMTs7P

I'll give some reasoning behind my choices.

CPU - For "casual gaming" you won't see a performance change between 8 or 6 cores. You could even go down to 4, but 6 will give you some minor future-proofing.

CPU Cooler - It matches the blue theme and will help extend the life of your CPU. If you want to overclock, I would get a liquid cooler. This part can also be considered optional.

MOBO - Unchanged, you made a good choice for the price point.

RAM - You won't see a benefit between 16gb and 8gb for gaming. Speed difference between 1866 & 1600 are minor. A better CAS is preferable. You can always add another 8gb stick later.

SSD - A more reputable and used SSD for cheap.

HDD - Unchanged, you made a good choice for the price point.

GPU - Price disappeared for your option, picked a Gigabyte 750ti.

Case - Sleeker design and matches your build aesthetically.

PSU - Not so overkill, cheaper, and fully modular.

Final note, if you get rid of the CPU cooler or save a little more you could buy a 3gb or 4gb GPU.

What is your opinion on the SLI 980s? I'm torn between getting those or a Titan X and then going SLI later.

Thoughts on the monitors? I plan on getting the same ones in a dual setup.
