From a 14 year old to a 14 year old well done. Before I increased my budget I was going to get a 770. I think they are similar to a 1050 ti in performance.

The bios problem sucks but memory compatibility is a lot better than first gen and it does have lots of power.

How did you get that cooler with the 1600. Clean build BTW. I sort of wish I went itx but went I built mine all the X470 Itx mobos were more expensive that I wanted to pay, b450 wasn't out and I didn't want to have to wait for a boot kit.

The case would work. If you aren't gaming the GTX 980 with do fine. For gaming it depends on the games and monitors. Good luck
