Yes i was very happy with the price. I was also eyeing a Radeon Pro Duo for a great price but had to stop myself and settle for the Fury X.

I must admit that my preference for AMD has mostly been ideological. I despise Intel and dislike Nvidia. But I have been pleasantly suprised by the performance overall. Freesync is absolutely amazing (and has no premium on screen prices unlike G-Sync) Overclocking FX cpus is great fun too.

Hey man thanks.

Yeah the monitor is a 27" 1440p 144hz Asus freesync monitor (MG278Q). Works great for everything i play.

The freesync range is great for ultra 1440p. 45-144 fps freesync enabled. Everything i play hits this 99% of the time.

Great job on the cabling below the intake on the rx 480. Sata cables are a pain to work with but you did a fine job. Especially considering the weird positions of the sata ports on the mobo.

Cool little update. With your new cpu cooler a small cpu overclock would be a fine addition for some free performance. Around 3.8-4GHz should be easy.

Looks great. Overclocking am3+ is really simple 4GHz should be fine on that cooler without too much heat/noise.

Great job on the build (and the fact you paid for it yourself at 13)

Upgrade path should be an ssd for system disk, And maybe 2 more sticks of crucial ram for 16 in total.

I actually think you moved your gpu to the "wrong" pcie slot. The top one is 16x I used this and that as a reference. The second full length pcie slot from the top is the only one you should not be be using as it's only x4. use either the one labeled x16_1 which is the top one, or the one labeled x16_2 which is the third one.

+1 for the build and the great overclock. I love amd!

Hi I have a similar build. And the first thing I did was replace the stock fans after a few weeks. They are "ok" but 390(x) runs very hot so additional exhaust is good.

At the very least you should replace the top one with a 140mm fan.

Replace your stock cooler and add a ssd as your system drive and your build is very decent. It will also give you the option to do overclock to 4.xGHz while keeping your cpu even cooler and the noise level down. Just check clearance of your case before buying a cooler.

A new screen is the next goal. Will probably get an Asus mg278q freesync screen for 1440p. Most benchmarks puts this system in decent shape for 1440p (in some ways better than 1080 since cpu "bottlenecking" is less problematic at higher resolutions.)

I will push the cpu and gpu as much as possible so I got good hopes for 1440p for most titles.

Yes the ones from cablemod will replace all cables with your modular psu. Be sure to check availability in your region. Here the EVGA supernova G2 series where to most widely available complete sleeved sets.

You will pay a premium for a full set compared to only getting extenders for your 24pin and gpu which are the most visible cables.

The cable extenders were from bitfenix. Looks great but the pcie ones were abit long. It's a snakejob under the psu shroud.

Thanks I did see that cablemod had a series for this psu but there were no danish shops that had them in stock. I will keep an eye on them. The rmx also seems to use a different series than the mainstream RM HX an AX. But i couldn't be sure.
