Not at all! It's a kind of close fit but the DRP4 has just enough clearance for the RAM.
Dang I really messed up this parts list, didn't I?
Oh that's odd. Only the ~$190 kit should be in there. So I guess this is more of a $2100 PC haha.
Not really. Although I do game a lot, I also do graphic design and some video editing. So I decided I may as well shell out the extra $100 for a better CPU + nicer cooler which will also help regarding future-proofing (I don't want to do any major upgrades for 4+ years).
I decided against M.2 NVMe because I would have spent $60 more for what I hear to be very similar performance in normal usage, and I don't do quite enough video editing to make the price difference worth it for the boost in performance. Either way, this MB supports 2x M.2 drives so there's plenty of room for upgrades :P
No, only the 2700x has the RGB Wraith Prism cooler. the 1700 has a similar cooler with just an LED ring and a circular base rather than square.
I bought the GPU used for pretty cheap so I just bought it without much regard for the exact model. Either way I hear pretty much all GTX 1080s will perform identically.
