Just got this today and even though I'm not using super high end speakers and headphones, the sound is miles better than the motherboard. I feel like I can hear more sound, a lot of little nuanced sounds, like the way bullets hit against a wall, or rain drops smack upon the ground. Could be psychological, but I showed a few more people and they were very impressed. Definitely worth the 40 bucks.

This card works very well. There is a noticeable difference when using the motherboard integrated sound and this. Everything sounds much clearer.

I really don't need one of these, but I will say that it makes my ATH-M40X's sound a bit better and add more bass to them.

Software takes a bit of getting used to but easy install and great sound quality.

Paired with the Logitech z506, my whole room shakes when I play games.

It's a great little sound card. Gives 5.1 audio, plus controls for multichannel audio. Helpful if you want surround sound, or true 5.1 audio for games/movies.

Would give 5 if the driver wasn't such a pain to find and install. I spent nearly 3 days working on it to get audio working for any length of time. After I got that sorted out everything works great and my audio throughput is super clear.
