There is hardly ever a quiet optical drive, but this one isn't too bad. I personally try to avoid optical drives as they are hardly ever used. But overall this is a good price for a decent Blu-Ray drive. Its front fascia is also really nice.

OEM drive comes with nothing, so need to pick up SATA separate. But works great! Also needs compatible software to play blu-rays.

Superb value for a Blu-Ray player when you have any plans to watch anything via your computer, instead of having to have a separate Blu-Ray capable device.

A bit overkill for her needs, but wasn't much more than the blue ray readers.

Fast, reliable, & for the most part quiet on idle.

This is actually the Blu-Ray drive from my "Shell Shock" build. I was not using it at all and my brother has a big Blu-Ray collection so I just sold it to him. He loves it already.
