In my opinion, these are the best looking fans available. The LED is around the outer ring and makes the fan look pretty good. They are also fairly quiet as well. The CAM software does need some work as mentioned in previous reviews and that's why I took a star off.

$90 is a great price for these RGB fans + hub. These things look SICK. The fans could be a tad brighter, but at night it doesn't matter and it's unfortunate that the RGB is only on one side since it's on the trim so keep that in mind. You won't be able to see the lights if your front panel isn't glass and you place the fan in front of your case. The side that doesn't have RGB is the direction that the air flows.

I’m coming from a PS4 that sounded like an airplane was about to take off with its one fan.. I barely hear these.

With the new CAM software update (August 28) being able to control fans and look at temps have been much easier than before. Highly recommend these fans as they are very nice rgb wise and also pull air well.

Beautiful and capable! I even leave the NZXT fan/cooler controlling software on the "performance" profile. (I use these to compliment the NZXT Kraken X62 AIO.) I don't mind some fan noise as long as I know it's protecting my investment. Still, it's not a lot of noise and it's on the desk right next to me. If it ever does bother me, I can switch to the "silent" profile. But that's more noticeable over time, because the fans pulse from silent to pseudo-loud based on system loads: that constant change is when you notice your fans. Anyways, these are great!

Buying a Hue 2 with LED strips included and then buying 3 Aer 2 fans costs the same as buying this starter pack and getting the LED strips later. I went this route and honestly, the lighting on the fans is so bright that I had no need to buy any strips. The instructions for hooking up other NZXT LED accessories like the Underglow are so vague. Took me legit a couple hours to figure this out as there's no information regarding this on the internet either. The fans themselves are obnoxiously loud over 60% which is very disappointing and might be a deal-breaker for many people.
