Great power supply! Black cables, Japanese capacitors, and is semi-modular

Hasn't exploded yet so I guess is a solid PSU. Powers my system perfectly.

After reading many reviews and taking the advice of JonnyGURU, I decided on the EVGA 650W 80+ Gold Semi-Modular PSU. It has more cables than I need and has been running smoothly so far. No complaints.

It's very quiet and goes on sale every once in a while.

Gold rated 650 watt power supply-check Well known/respected brand - check Good warranty - check Discounted price - check Only real comment I will say about this specific psu is two things: The stock black cables (even though I'm not using them for the most part) are very nice. They are ALL BLACK, have no rainbow cables, and the sleeving is great. AND even though this is considered a semi-modular psu, the 24 pin power cable is the only one that isn't removeable. It was easy to add extensions, although if you're wanting to do full custom sleeved cables finding a company that will do them for this psu will be a bit more challenging than newer models from EVGA like the G2, P2 or T2. For the savings I got, it was WELL worth it.

Its 650W, more than enough, wasn't really interested in the gold efficiency thingy and wanted something cheaper but I think that it will last for a long time, but I think you generally get better quality components as their efficiency increases, also didn't mind the semi modular thing but its a bonus. Ah also black cables.

Works good, did not blow up when plugged. There's a lot of cable included, they are black so they don't stand out in the case.
