Well originally I chose the Western Digital Cavier and this was another headache... literally. My build was depressingly making a loud humming noise that at first I thought was the graphics card. After some sleuthing, and since I had my OS on the SSD I unplugged the hard drive and thank God again the noise went away.

I bought the Seagate on Amazon and day later it was prrrfect. Doens't make any noise at all.

I replaced an old hard drive that died on me with this, on which I store the bulk of my files. Luckily, I had everything backed up to an external drive and cloud storage, unlike my Great Hard Drive Crash of '11 in which I lost 500GB of irreplaceable recordings, writings, and photographs (there are two types of people in this world: those who've lost data and those who will). I would've sprung for a 4TB drive, but for some odd reason, Seagate's 4TB Barracuda has a lower spindle speed (5900rpm), and with other manufacturers' 7200rpm hard drives being much pricier, I chose value & speed over amount of storage as 3TB plus the free space on my solid state and external drives should be enough for the amount of large WAV, RAW, and MPEG files I work with (in addition to my ever-growing music & movie collections) for a long time. This drive performs well at media playback & gaming, read/write speeds are as fast as advertised, and it has a very low price tag of $90 (three cents per gigabyte and $30 per terabyte), making it a very good choice for a 7200rpm HDD.

Super Awesome Stoage! But for some reason it didn't show up on my computer but it did on device manager so I had to do some tweaking (unplugging the SATA cable wasn't one) just playing around with was something I did but its stil, good to make sure if you have a M.2 that it's not using the same SATA ports as the one your drive is connected to and if it is just change you M.2 to 4x mode (recommend) or move the location of the HDDs SATA cable (not recommend)

Solid 7200RPM 3TB HDD for the price. I bought because MicroCenter had these on sale. I was going to only but a 1TB HDD but then for a a little more money decided it was worth it to go with the 3TB. Has been running great so far.
