I already had my mind made up that I wanted a seasonic power supply after reading several reviews of various power supply units. I also wanted to go ahead and get a gold rated to help future proof the build, and was originally planning on the 550w. However with a rebate I was able to catch the 750w on sale which actually made it nearly $30 less than the 550w. It is major overkill for my build, but it provides plenty of growing room. So far I haven't had any problems, the black cables look sleek and were easy to work with even for my first build. I don't foresee any future problems, and Seasonic has earned a customer for life.

(There was also a $25 steam gift card "gift" inside of the box which I wasn't expecting, I filled out the form and am waiting to see if it actually works, if it does and I receive my rebate as well then I will have gotten this power supply for 24.99, which is crazy!).

Overkill for my needs, but I wanted a trustworthy power supply that wasn't going to crap out on me. I love semi-modular power supplies because you get the best of both worlds, a solid connection from the PSU and the option to add and remove unnecessary cables. If you don't want to get different cables for aesthetics, semi modular is for you.

750 80+ Gold Semi-Modular for $50 all said and done (at the time of purchase)

I wasn't able to choose another case without sacrificing quality, power, or price.

It's performed exactly as advertised. No issues.

Only complaint is that I wish it included a PCI-E cable with a single connector. Both PCI-E cables split into two connectors at the end and since my GPU only uses one PCI-E connector the other is just dangling next to it. Good thing I'm going to be getting a cable kit.

Purchased for a build that fell thru. Overkill for this build but I don't have any other use for it. Seasonic quality speaks for itself.
