I settled for the GTX 1070 when I saw that the GTX 1080 prices were so inflated. The MSI card looks great, is quiet, has no coil whine, and performs well. I can play Overwatch at a stable 165fps on high settings at 1440p. Will probably need to get a 1080 to play on Ultra and Epic at 165fps.

Beautiful card, doesn't sag too much in my build despite it being so big. Stays cool and quiet and has crushed every thing I have through at it in 1440P

An insanely powerful GPU. Coming from a low powered laptop and console to SLI 1070s was a religious experience. Simply amazing.
The red LED setting in the MSI gaming app looks pinkish instead of a true red.
Several months down the road now and running this in 2-way SLI is still surprising me. I'm playing all games at the highest settings at 3440x1440 60 FPS without even a hiccup.
Download the MSI LED third party tool and you can utilize the full color spectrum you expect when paying for a $400-$500 GPU.

from completed build 1440p Intel i7 7700k 'Alien' RGB Build
Its a beast. Huge, red and damn right angry, it eats through anything I throw at it in 1440p. Idle temps are around the 28C-34C depending on room temperature and under load around the high 60's. I use fan curves on Afterburner to keep the fans on and alternating at certain temps however it does have TwinFrozr (fans only come on when required). MSI Gaming App allows you to change some colour settings though main body can only be red. MSI logo colour can be changed.

It perfectly works ! It displays something on my screen, and that's it ! Since I don't game on this machine, it's a bit useless (I don't even do rendering), but who can say that s/he watches YouTube through a GTX 1070 only used for that ? Well, I can.

Fantastic card. Not only does it perform well, but it fit well with my theme.

I love this thing so much. A true noticeable upgrade from my old R9 290. I went from getting 30 - 60 FPS in BF4, but now I get 55 - 150 FPS and rarely dips into the 40s (which is due to the CPU bottleneck).
I can't get MSI's crappy gaming software to work. I just want change the RGB LED and set it to OC mode, but it won't detect my card and says "The platform doesn't support this application", despite all of my drivers being installed.

from completed build Black and Red build for 1440p/144hz gaming in a Nano S.
I really liked the look of the MSI 1070 Pro Gaming X and it is very quiet, using only 2 large fans. I believe it has the best performance/noise ratio and is also one of the top 3 aftermarket 1070s available in terms of raw performance on benchmarking vids. The temperatures are great with the SFX PSU giving more room for the twin frozr fans to work in smallish setup.
