Man oh man do I like this card. It stays consistently cool, and is unbelievably quiet. With a more aggressive fan curve I could probably overclock this more, but I like the complete silence.

Super quiet card. Benchamarks on The Division with a i5 6500 around 55-60 fps on ultra settings in 1080p.

The entire build was based around gpu choice. There were a few options that I thought about. A 980ti was not out of the question in this build. There are many things that could have been changed to easily fit one in but it was overkill so I looked at the $390-430 range. 970/r9 390 would have done the job well and let us get more things elsewhere but for a $2k build it felt wrong. In the end, the 980 felt right as it's decently high end, but not overkill for 1080p gaming. It should last him a fairly long time.

Great card. Improved my Unigin Heaven score from 1200 to 2094. Runs Doom at ultra at 60 fps or higher if I remove my fps cap. Runs quieter and cooler than my older card at higher quality.
