from completed build SSI EEB in NZXT H500i

This case is an incredible value. Only $129 and it comes with 2 RGB LED strips, a smart hub / fan controller thing, room for 3x 3.5" drives and 2x 2.5" drives (though you could fit 4x if you has 2 more of the little drive caddies it comes with) and it looks really good. It was a joy to build in and it will even fit my massive SSI EEB motherboard with minimal modifications (only 5/9 screw holes matched up). I wanted the white one but it was not in stock anywhere, overall though I am happy with the black. Either way it is a great looking case

Best case for a minimalistic design, if that is what you are aiming for. I think the extra $30 is worth it for the lighting, fans and controllers, especially since I enjoy RGB lighting effects. Cabling was pretty easy with enough freedom to do it your own way, and an easy lower covered compartment to shove all the stiff power supply cables without tying them all up.

Very nice case to build in. All metal body with clean, simplistic look and has decent airflow. The pre-installed RGB strips/ fan controller were a nice addition. Wish I could have took more advantage of the cable management system, but adding extensions and custom cables made it difficult to run inside track.

case is great, sadly mine came with a huge dent on the top right corner and i couldnt even take the glass off because the corner was bent inwards covering the glass, had to take it off with insane force, im going to get a replacement eventually, and will update the review as necessary, airflow not the best, but good aesthetic

Was able to find this case on sale for Black Friday, as I had been planning on purchasing the non "smart" version of this case. However with the sale price it was only $15 more for the smart version and it was definitely worth it. The colors as great and look fantastic with my build, and having the fan speed controlled keeps my PC running nearly silent even under load. As for the case itself I am very glad that I chose this case for my first build, it made cable management so much easier and has plenty of room for my future upgrades (GPU and Water cooling). So far my only complaint I have had with this case is the CAM software, but I was able to fix the problem pretty quickly with some help from the support forums.

I personally just absolutely love NZXT's cases. I think they look absolutely amazing! This case had built in RGB lighting and fan control with a smart device so it was a pretty good deal IMO.

First time building with NZXT, and it did well. The fan/RGB hub is pretty simple, effective, and unobtrusive. Fitting the AIO rad was pretty easy, but do note that the case technically only supports 240mm rads.

Cable management on the backside was pretty decent, but there was no good way to lock down my unruly 24pin cable.

Overall, it's pretty snug in there. While you can technically put a 140mm fan on top, in reality the 8pin CPU cable will get in the way. I wish the case were maybe 10% bigger. Otherwise, great case.

Simple black case, comes with two case fans and two RGB strips. CAM software is also easy to use. Took off one star because radiator mounting is a pain in the ***.

First off, I did most of the build outside of the case. CPU, cooler, and RAM were all installed prior to putting the motherboard into the NZXT h500i. The build quality of the h500 seems really good, I'm quite happy with the look and feel of this enclosure. It's leaps and bounds ahead of my Thermaltake case from my cough 2009 cough build, but I'd expect it to be. Due to the size of the Dark Rock, I did have to remove the rear exhaust fan when installing the motherboard. Cable management was pretty simple and effective. I've never built something that looked as clean as this does. The back panel could be cleaner, but by the time my build got to that point, I was getting antsy to turn this thing on and play with it. Again, keeping thermals in mind, I added a bequiet! SilentWings 3 140mm intake fan in the front. I'll likely add another down the road just to ensure that things stay frosty come the summer time. Installation was a breeze.

Great case for building in! Sometimes a little tight for my fingers but the cable management was so easy and it was easy to hid behind. Comes with 2 case fans, and I will be adding some more soon. Good air flow, good cable management and it’s big enough to build in without being cumbersome.
