from completed build Mini Budget Hackintosh
Definitely not for gaming, but allows for adding more than 2 monitors beyond the integrated graphics ports, as well as a little extra juice for AutoCAD/graphic design programs.
If you are using 2 monitors or less, you really don't need this card and should use the HD530 integrated graphics. Also, macOS requires a couple patches to fix some glitches that occur with the HD530.

from completed build The Ideal Ubuntu/Linux Workstation
I'm using this with Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS to run two monitors. I don't game with it, so I can't tell you how it works with that regard. (I take that back -- I play OpenRA, a port to Linux from 1998. That's smooth, if you care.) It's smooth, and worked with my setup perfectly. I recommend using the proprietary Nvidia drivers versus the open source ones, but that's a little 3 minute switch once you have the OS installed.
