I have never been let down by a Bose product.

Super loud, high quality speakers that have good bass, and even better treble! Will never say bad things about bose, and a good price to boot.

These entry level Bose speakers I got surprised me a lot. I’m used to listen music and games on an old big pair of 2.2 amplified Kenwood XD-751 and on a pair of Sony headphones MDR 1-A so as I saw those little 2.0 speakers (with plastic housing) I was doubting could perform that well. But as I said before during my first gaming sessions I got surprised by the large soundstage and sense of depth they can reproduce, dialogs and all the effects such explosions, footsteps, wind… are surprisingly accurate. When I decided to put some classical music (Fantasia alla Marcia for Piano, Kingdom Hearts) I remembered I was on an entry level product… listening, I noticed that higher frequencies where cut and couldn’t fill the room properly, moreover I noticed an excessive equalization on the mid frequencies. Distinguishing each instrument was difficult as the over-equalization was covering the rest of orchestra, even the punchy basses of drums I listened at start vanished appearing again as the trombones stopped playing. (Due to this I think that there’s only a single driver per each speaker). I was not expecting miracles, but a pair of passive speaker around this price can do better. BTW I still recommend them, (better if you find them at a lower price tag such as 80 or 70$ [or euros]) because in case you’re in need of space and not expecting to play such “complex music soundstages” as I did; they can amaze.

The sound profile favors the mids a bit, but provides a nice full sound for their size. A great little set of speakers, especially if you're limited on desk space.

Great sound quality and excellent bass for what it is.

These sound surprisingly good when I'm sitting at my workstation. Nice, deep, round bass. Sound drops off quickly as you move away from the speakers, so not exactly room-filling.

Crisp clear sound, intuitive easy to use controls. Fair price.

Way too much bass, as expected of Bose, and overpriced. At least the sound through the headphone jack is unaltered.
