First build, experimenting with parts

To elaborate on the title, I’m not exactly planning on building a pc yet (still considering buying a prebuilt one) but I decided to mess around here and see what kind of rigs I could put together, and this was my 3rd and cheapest attempt, being under $1k USD. I’m a bit skeptical about the RX 580, but it was cheap. I considered the GTX1660ti but the RTX2060 is just slightly more expensive so I’d kind of rather go for that. Otherwise, any suggestions, comments, advice? Something I should Swap out or improve on/downgrade? I've no preference on Intel vs AMD, as long as it's a good build. Would like some RGB to match with my Corsair mouse as well. PC will be primarily used for gaming (GTA V, Battlefield 4/5, WarThunder, FIFA) as well as schoolwork. Costs more, but here's a much more balanced build:

  • similar performance CPU/better MB
  • CPU comes with a cooler so I removed the one you added
  • cheaper/slightly better RAM
  • it's 2020, an SSD is a must-have for any PC
  • better HDD for $5 more
  • better GPU
  • better PSU (with no RGB because your case doesn't have glass to see it through)
  • Do you need the McAfee subscription? Windows Defender is great and comes with Windows.

Also, unless you're doing some very heavy video editing, I'd suggest getting 16GB RAM instead of 32GB.

Shoot I just chose the cheaper case, I haven’t really looked at cases anyways but thanks for pointing out, I wanted some RGB to potentially match up with my current Corsair mouse so yeah
