Newegg - Intel I9 9900K CPU on "sale" at same price?

Is it me or Newegg is advertising a 110$ drop on the I9 9900K, but it is still at the same $639.99 price as the last few weeks/months according to PCPartPicker's price history?

Any thoughts?

Maybe it was on sale for 5 months lol. Or they put a random $749.99 price tag to make people think it was a great buy and get them to purchase and purchase! but I don't think newegg would do this.

That's exactly what they do all the time, they mark it as on sale and put a bull original price as the original price. They've always done this.
