I originally had myself down for at RX 5700 XT as part of my new gaming build, with the reference at £400 this is within my initial budget. However, after doing some research, it sounds essential to go with an AIB partner board. This made me lean towards the Red Devil at £440.
Unfortunately in the US, this is $440 but in the UK it is £440, if it was at a normal exchange rate we could expect it to be about £350. At this price, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. However, now the value for money is severely reduced and you can even get some 2070 Super for about the same price https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kfa2-geforce-rtx-2070-super-ex-1click-oc-8192mb-gddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-0a5-kf.html.
My questions: 1) Are the low end 2070 Super boards worth it or do they have problems like the 5700 xt reference? 2) My ideal price point is below £400 (or low 400s) but if I am going to spend big which is better value per frame? A cheap 2070 Super or a high end 5700 XT? 3) Does anyone know of any pricing cuts on the horizon for either?
Thanks a lot!
