My friends room is pretty far away from the router and he gets little to no connection. I was wondering what i can do so he can get internet.

Google "wifi powerline adapters". They use the home's electrical wiring to efficiently piggyback an ethernet connection from Router LAN port > nearby electrical outlet > friend's room electrical outlet > ethernet port on PC/Laptop.
