How Long Have You Had Your Wireless Headset?

How Long Have You Had Your Wireless Headset? I have a (cheap) USB one that is uncomfortable and has mediocre sound quality, but it is still working fine after many years. I want something wireless (I'm always getting tangled the wire :) and more comfortable (and with better sound) but I want to know how well they hold up before spending $$$ on one. Things like, does the battery still keep a decent charge after a year of use?, etc. Thanks!

I had a Skullcandy Hesh 2 wireless headset for a few years before both ear cups started to show signs of wear and tear, it eventually got replaced with my current Beats Solo 3 wireless headset. Honestly, having a battery charge indicator, 40 hours of battery life on standby, a travel case, and the ability to fold up to increase portability (which the Hesh 2 wireless didn’t have) is nice. So worth the $140 price tag. Sound quality is about the same between the two headsets.

Years ago I tried the Logitech g930 headset and even though I was careful with it the hinges kept breaking apart and I had 3 warranty replacements within the warranty timeframe and broke again shortly after warranty. I have never had such a flimsy headset. I replaced it with a plantronics USB headset (cant remember the model#) in like 2012 and that headset still works today. The audio drivers it uses for windows 10 does make the headset sound cheap on the sound so I managed to get a great deal on the hyperX cloud 2 headset for like $30 CAD from a local auction. I have had that headset for about 2 years and it is still holding up strong.

As for wireless only the logitech one was wireless, the other 2 were wired. When the logitech one worked the battery life for me was several hours and I could still plug it in to charge at my PC while I game if the battery did get low. Range wise I could still go to the kitchen (not that far away) and grab a drink or food while still having the headset on.

This is very helpful, thanks! It's a shame they don't make the wireless ones as well as the wired ones.
