Network question

IKnowNothing.

My dad uses Xfinity xfi to shut off my electronics and I asked him if he could stop. He said I have to buy my own router, is there any router or modem that can connect to the xfinity one wirelessly than I can use a Ethernet cable to connect to my PC?? Just curious and would love the help

You're looking for a "wireless access point", and I'd imagine that you can find one for maybe $30 or so. A lot of routers can also be configured as access points.
