Windows 10 Pro flash drive from Microsoft.

Just asking if anyone has bought the Windows 10 Pro flash drive from Microsoft. It should just be a bootable drive to install Windows from on a new PC, but do they give you a license key (in case the flash drive / install doesn't work and you have to try again some other way). Thanks!

I originally bought Windows 10 Home on a USB flash drive. Yes, you get a key, that is what you are really buying. You can reuse the flash drive to re-install if you need to. That being said, after you get the key, making your own installation USB with the Media Creation Tool works a lot better, as you can keep the installer updated.

Yes: Windows 10 Pro USB Unboxing

NB: The most recent version (Creators update) has slightly different cover art on the box, compared to the video.

Well there's really nothing special about it, nothing stopping you from downloading the Windows 10 (pro) image yourself and using the MS tool to make a bootable USB. And buying a license associated with your MS account.

But if you don't wanna, or feel better about getting an official MS USB that's fine. Nothing wrong with it. Apart from a defective flash drive any issues a user might have are probably a PEBKAC issue anyway. And eventually they'll figure out how to make the USB device the first device in their boot order or somesuch.
