The chips themselves are the same as in any other memory. They've been around at least for 6 months now and I haven't seen any unusual complaints. (but no reviews, either.) They are probably worth a try if you are looking to save money.

RAM is RAM. There are only 3 OEM's that make it and all RAM has a lifetime warranty since RAM either is defective out of the box or works literally forever.

With that said those are some horrid timings.

To be fair, it was $67 early last month for the RAM.
