I have a new build pc with amd ryzen 7 2700 and Asus Crosshair VII(Wifi) x470 The speed test for my internet(both wifi and cable) is around 18 mbps, which is around 2MB/s This is not normal cause my other laptops can reach 20MB/s, the speed test is around 200 mbps Please help, I already make sure I update all the driver, don't know what to do now

I'd check cabling between desktop and router, including any ethernet hubs / switches along the way. A bad cable can cause all sorts of issues. Verify that the link is running at 1Gbit full duplex (I don't know how you check that in windows).

Well not the CPU. Possibly the motherboard, but modern motherboards should all have gigabit NIC's anyway. So I'm leaning towards some sort of configuration, be it in the BIOS, or at the OS level.

installed software could be a source of problems. lagging your system.

I sometimes get this situation and uninstall the crappy software :)

how are you testing your internet??

in Windows 7 you can see where your data is moving on your system:

windows task manager, performance tab, click resource meter, click on network tab. look at "network activity" for any unusual data sent/receive
