Looking to build a PC that is consistant at running 144fps

Whackyy

Im wanting to switch over from xbox one X to PC. Looking to build a 144fps PC with a decent amount of storage. Also needing a good 144hz 1ms monitor. Ill be able to get the monitor before the PC so the Monitor having a hdmi port would be perfect. Thanks

US Around 1300$ for PC and 200$ for the monitor

Your going to need a Intel processors for that.

More GPU performance but might not totally hit that 144hz all the time.

Less GPU performance so might need to have the settings lowered more but gains CPU performance so it can hit higher frame rates at those lowered settings in more multi threaded titles.

A 2060 will not pull 144 FPS in some of the newer games and poorly optimized game engines without turning the settings down.

As I mentioned above.

Less GPU performance so might need to have the settings lowered more but gains CPU performance so it can hit higher frame rates at those lowered settings in more multi threaded titles.

9600K+2070 or 8700K/9700K+2060 is debatable on one hand You have 15-20% or so more graphics performance for eye candy on the other double the CPU threads to the same number of cores or 33% more cores to offload excess threads on at the cost of 15-20% graphics performance.

I would imagine that, with a stated goal of 144+ fps, the OP is expecting to make whatever visual quality adjustments are necessary.

Your build really could stand improvement.

CPU isn't a good option even when overclocked for a solid 144hz.

Overpriced cooler for a CPU that doesn't need it You can do a $40-50 model and still burn out the chip from too much voltage before thermals are an issue.

Terrible overclocking motherboard.

Overpriced monitor.

With some revamping it can be an arguable option that is better in every way.

For the price of that CPU and HSF, we could afford a CPU way better than the 2600 will ever overclock to....
