Cable Management for Keyboard and Mouse

Right now I just have them running over my desk and into the standard hole they give you. it looks messy and I have no idea how to make it look nice. I have read that people use plastic shrouds but I don't think that looks the best. I open to all suggestions! Thanks for looking at this post! JP

I've drilled a hole in my desk right behind my keyboard and routed the cable through that and under the desk; its close enough to the keyboard that I can't see it from where I sit. I have a small cable clip for my mouse on the back of the desk so it at least goes straight back, and left a bit of slack so I have room to move the mouse around without pulling on it.
