My brother's headset cord has snapped, and now he needs a new headset. (he uses ps4)
-Under $150 USD (could make adjustments if necessary)
-wireless (doesn't need but great to have)
-good sound quality
-good build quality
-not too flashy (no rgb for example)
Wireless: Cloud Flight
Non-Wireless: Sennheiser PC37X ); Cloud II, or Cloud Alpha. Or the HyperX base model Cloud Core (Cloud II without accessories.)
Amazon's got a good deal on HyperX stuff (duno if its the same non-prime price..) The Core is $50, the II is $70, and the Alpha is $75.
The PC37X is $120 on Massdrop.
:D slkipp is correcto
you can try soldering the cord back together :)
obviously the coolest solution, but probably too difficult for most people
if you have the tools to then its def worth a try though.
Depends on how much the user likes the device, where the cord snapped, and, if it snapped within the bulk of the unit, it depends on how user-serviceable the thing really is.
But I agree that it could be a simple fix.
yeah, if its just the cord that has snapped in two it could be an easy case of soldering the wires back together, but if the thing has broken inside the actual headset then it would be loads more complicated.
