2 questions?

  1. why seagate? I trust toshiba and wd more. wd own's toshiba hdd's infact
  2. that case sucks right? compared to mines

I like the cpu though (: but def not that case. I need good cable management

  • Seagate revamped their Barracuda lineup, and that lineup is probably the best you're gonna get (for 2TB)

  • As for the case, it might be cheap, but having decent airflow and TG means that it is a great pick for that busget

EDIT: turns out I have a $1400 budget. Could you edit it? The VR I'm getting got a price bump of $100. So now my budget is 1400.

If you wanted to know the vr im getting, its the new oculus "quest"

And I need it to be vr compatible. So two hdmi ports

Looks good! If you plan to OC you might want to drop the HDD down to 2tb and then use the extra $ for a CPU cooler. If you want to keep the MSI theme they have one.

If you can, can you edit this so it has - a 2600, -a 1080, - an a 27inch 144hz monitor instead?. - I also don't need 2 fans just one. -Also an extra ssd would be nice. -And better kb&m.

if you know exactly what you want, why not just search the site..?

Depends on what your editing if your going to be editing gameplay then you need 2 different hard drives one to run the game from and another to record to.

In general I would still use Intel for this since your not going to be editing at the same time ( depends also on the program used ) a i5 will run the crap out of games and still edit just fine.

The video card in your build cost more than listed follow the wallieworld link it's like over 500 bucks their.

A number of good builds here. This one has mATX case per request. Extra SSD for dual booting convenience. RX 580 with Freesync monitor should get you good 1080p performance, you can tip the monitor speed up if you like, just make sure Freesync is included.

why not a nvidia geforce gtx 1080?

  • 1 point

Freesync monitors are cheaper than gsync. You could go with a 1080 but it's more than really needed for 1080p. If you were to build a GTX 1080 then I'd think you would want to go to 1440p to take advantage of the GPU power ... unless you want 1080p at crazy frame rates.

  • 1 point

I need longevity. I'm 13 and my mom doesn't want to buy a new GPU every 2-3 years.

  • 2 points

Fair enough. Go with the 1080 then, and you can aim for a 1440p monitor down the line.
