I think my Video Card is failing.

I have a R9 390x 8gb card and i cant play any games or even sometimes watch videos. Every time I startup a game it freezes and I get squares and static all over. I have updated all my drivers for everything. Nothing helps. I had my PC on the carpet could that have done something to it?

Carpet likely had nothing to do with it (your system is grounded through the power chord).

How old is the graphics card? Is it still under warranty? Have you contacted the board maker?

I bought this pc used. I think the GPU is pretty old but it worked fine for a while.

Sounds like it might be your card. My 770 did the same thing. I had to send it off under warranty.

I did let me see if it makes a diffrence. I have a strange thing hapening with my GPU as well. My core clock, GPU ussage, memory clock and fan speed constantly fluctuate drastically. What does this mean?
