Ok so There is 2 Gskill Rams that im looking at https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qjM323/gskill-trident-z-rgb-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr3-3000-memory-f4-3000c16d-16gtzr and this one https://pcpartpicker.com/product/sHQRsY/gskill-tridentz-rgb-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-f4-3000c15d-16gtzr basically same thing but one has 15 CAS and one has 16 CAS now they are very close in price so I was gonna go with the one with 15 CAS but its not on the Compatibility list for the MBO but the one with 16 CAS is http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/STRIX_B350-F_GAMING/Raven_Ridge_Memory_QVL_ROG_STRIX_B350-F_GAMING_180209.pdf?_ga=2.49733286.1250376999.1531594634-913687171.1517240366 So which one should I get?

Yes, the CAS15 modules are indeed not on the compatibility list.

Also keep in mind that this list is for the Raven Ridge processors (2200G/2400G), and not for the Summit Ridge like the 1600X.

With an Summit Ridge processor, better chances would be to go with an Samsung B-die chip.

So this one, may do the job.

...according to that below:

From there, everything else is pure luck.

Thx! Also how can you tell if they have a Samsung B-die chip?

I can tell for some modules from info over the net, but for every G.Skill module that would be difficult.

Normally, for G.Skill Trident Z RGB modules...

If it has a speed of 3200MHz and a CAS of 14 or a greater speed than 3200MHz regardless the CAS, it should use Samsung B-Die chips. (on 99% of the situations)

GTZRX modules are intended for AMD builds, but mostly for X370 and X470 high end boards.

If it works with an Asus ROG-STRIX-B350-F-GAMING board, i don't know.

And it costs a fortune. lol
